yep...... it hurts that bad and worse from my experiance messing with testing out a kubotan filled with "heat" brand oc at 10%, kubotan 30 something dollars, refill about 7 dollars, me getting sprayed at less than a foot away on surprise and seeing my reaction after i hit the ground and start hitting it repeatedley with my hand praying for pain releif (took it with the eyes open and it sprayed with so much force it was pushing my eyeball back into my skull about a few centimeters) pricless lol
@cadetkb that would be the solvents mixing with the air. Depending on air quality, humidity and temperature, the color can range from nearly clear to a deep red. It will also differ with batch, based on how much of which solvents they use.

They are not law enforcement or correcxtions officers. They are police explorers they woulnt have a baton or cuffs or a gun so the fight through course would be pointless.
3 days ago i had to be sprayed to certify with the state to carry oc while on duty as a security officer. I got it good in the face and had minimal effects for the first hour and was able to see normally. I did not feel a severe burn or have watering eyes till I got home 1 hour later. on day 2 my right eye lid began to swell. My trainer was shocked to see me able to smoke after I washed my face.
Just had to do this in the Corrections academy. After we got sprayed we had to answer some questions , look at the instructor and then run and hit with the baton , run and then knee spike and then run and cuff someone and then double-lock. Only after all that were we allowed to de-contaminate. Rinsing with water seemed to make it worse.

i had it done about 2 weeks ago and there is no way to make it hurt less. probably the best satisfaction when i did it was rubbing soap in my eyes. Depending on with who you are getting it from they do it differently, these guys got it easy, just spray and wash.
try the Police Acadamy test and the Marines, they spray u with it and u have to run around to different stations and defend yourself, so ur like a minute or so without cleaning it out, i gotta do that in a couple years lol so im lookin it up how to make it hurt less lol

I am in a program similar to an explorer program when we got sprayed we had to fight off the instructor, we also carry cuffs.
