  • just great, thanks for this!

  • May I say he was such the dapper gent in the 1920s. I prefer his singing to most male vocalists of any era.

    This performance is a delight!!!

  • thanks so much

  • This is one of my favorite of Jack Smith's records. Just a suggestion.. but I think these records would sound a lot better if you connected a modern phonograph to your computer ..it would reduce a lot of the noise interference from the "live" recording. If you need any help just ask.

  • I agree which is why i have not uploaded much lately. This is so much cheaper and easier way to upload! This is not too good as HMV 78s tend to be very crackly.I have been using a better gram lately.I fear modern 78 players are expensive.

  • beautiful i like it !

  • Great song!

  • thanks so much for this. i feel more at home with this era than now. thanks so much!!! he was great

  • Just uploaded the Sammy Fain version from 1929.

  • Very distinictive and with a style all of his own.

  • One of my many favourite Smith records! He was so incredibly refined and polished. Thank you very much!

  • If I can figure out how to get my camera to film for more than 3 min., I'll play this song performed by Sammy Fain. Fantastic record.

  • I certainly hope so as your "Borgia" must play the 78s so well!I love this performed by Alfredos band and will upload that version when i can fetch the 78 from my Mothers! The Sammy Fain version id love to hear!
