People need to watch this video to see you explain your job, might stop at least a few of them making arson accusations. I've always been afraid of living in trailers, because they go up like kindling and some of them have only one exit, not to mention the tiny windows. Houses are scary enough. I've heard that a trailer can go down in 8 minutes, don't know if it's true though. Either way, I lived in one as a kid and was always worrying about the danger and obsessing over fire drills.
@poundnground thats what they did and it was correct. i may have done it a little different but it worked.
in a fire like this, attack the fire from the leeward side and you could do a combination attack, which is a defensive attack until flames are out and then an interior overhaul to make sure fire is completly out. Or like i wouldve done in this case a purely defensive attack. everyone needs to go home in one piece. a big thing to watch out for is colapse and especailly floor burnout
You've got some great videos. Great call not to send anyone in there. Vacant, through the roof apon arrival.....good call to fight it from the exterior.
@smarttubber123 In what sense? If you went from station to station in Gary they would be more than happy to show you around I am sure, as for Lake Station they are volunteer and you would have to ask/schedule. I don't believe anyone would turn you away though

Did they have a hydrant on this or did they depend on a Tender?

Why even bother? why not a pure defensive mode and let it burn? Just a question.
