Blaze is a great singer, but I think its like when your parents have divorced and your mom gets a new boyfriend. Its never gonna be your dad no matter how great he is.

I love Bruce and I think that he is the true and only voice for Iron Maiden, but Blaze is not bad at all! Their vocal style is very different (Blaze as a more robust and lower-pitched voice) but they still really impress me. People should give Blaze more credit for singing (and sounding good, although not as good) songs that were made for Bruce.
He is legend, he got screwed by life and he got up on his feet again, standing tall and proud. He is my inspiration and, by the way, his last two albums are great metal masterpieces. Only time will tell who are the good musicians and who are not. Listen and believe. His spirit lives in his music and it will help you to get through your own life better.

im 14 years old and i have maiden cds, dvds, shirts and posters with bruce or paul on them (with the band) but i will NEVER buy anything that has blaze on them because i think personality that blaze gave maiden a bad name because of his bad singing and how ever since he joined the band, his cds with maiden had dark/un-maiden like songs like afraid 2 shoot strangers, sign of the cross and more and ever since he joined the band, it wasnt as fun as it was with bruce and paul in the 1980s

Have to disagree... Obviously Blaze hasn't as much technique as Bruce, he hasn't even a similar voice range, but he gave his best (that's not slight) and put a lot of strength on his voice. He didn't hit some notes because he naturally CAN'T with his voice range. Even so he did pretty well with a huge effort.
Bruce has an astonishing high-pitched voice.. which doesn't means it's better than Blaze's, just shocks us more and sounds more metal.

I love Blaze's Voice, more Than Bruce's One. With Maiden he somethimes sounded tired because he had to sing too much songs out of his natural range every night! They should have stepped down a semitone or a whole tone. Blaze is a baritone, Bruce is a tenor, that's the difference . I love this version of HBTN...He sounds forced in some notes but he has a lot of passion and the intro is just perfect!

I really actually haven't found an exact answer to this, I've always wondered about this. I think it might of been because he was sick of being compared to Bruce. Also, he was singing a lot of songs that weren't really meant for his vocal style. This is why he never sang Run to the Hills live, and I think his version of the trooper was horrible. But there was some songs he was really good at like Afraid to Shoot Strangers, I think he does it better then Bruce.
Blaze is not good at singing some of the Bruce songs, such as this one. I think he's ok on Xfactor and Virtual Xi but on songs like Hallowed, he is poor.

I love Blaze's Voice, more Than Bruce's One. With Maiden he somethimes sounded tired because he had to sing too much songs out of his natural range every night! They should have stepped down a semitone or a whole tone. Blaze is a baritone, Bruce is a tenor, that's the difference . I love this version of HBTN...He sounds forced in some notes but he has a lot of passion and the intro is just perfect!

I really actually haven't found an exact answer to this, I've always wondered about this. I think it might of been because he was sick of being compared to Bruce. Also, he was singing a lot of songs that weren't really meant for his vocal style. This is why he never sang Run to the Hills live, and I think his version of the trooper was horrible. But there was some songs he was really good at like Afraid to Shoot Strangers, I think he does it better then Bruce.

Blaze is not good at singing some of the Bruce songs, such as this one. I think he's ok on Xfactor and Virtual Xi but on songs like Hallowed, he is poor.
