  • 1992-2004 Golden Age of Cartoon Network

2004-2008 CN declining, yet still okay (City bumpers were cool though)

    2008-2010 CN Hits Rock Bottom

2010-present CN gaining momentum again, but still has work to be as good as pre-2004 like more variety and OFFICIALLY ending the live action shows (though I have a feeling Level Up will end it all)

  • 0:00-0:01 Old logo

Thumbs up if you saw it.

  • ah man no toonami

  • To me i think 2010 rebrand was NOT the rebirth of cartoon network!!! Another thing

i don't know why people complain about the old CN, i feel your pain but thats why they have the boomerang service for a reason!!!

  • i miss the noods!

  • They will be airing a new Felix the Cat cartoon on CN this year.

  • 2 stupid dogs 2:30 weekdays

    thumbs up

  • I'm 17 and remember the younger days :( I miss the old Cartoon network, Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel ♥

  • Cartoon Network is getting better again but it's never gonna be better like the old days.

  • @Amia CARTOON NETWORK up these bumpers are total Aiercn

    Ceirit am'it

  • These are bumpers are okay, but I don't like the Live-Action ones on CN.

  • 1:57-2:01 - I miss Foster's =(

  • i like it

  • these bumpers are so stupid they make me want to brake my TV (thumps up)

  • @SuperNintendofreak1 dude you need more thumbs up these bumpers are total sh!t

  • These bumpers suck. I like the Golden Age era ones.

  • 0:42 wtf, a 3 year old me just got dick-slapped in the face

  • @b00mb0xcr0vv23 Not exactly because they started the live action with replacing CCF with CNF having live action host instead of cartoon cartoons hosting and this was before Stuart Snyder. However, the network didn't go completely insane until Stuart Snyder came along and started airing live action series.

  • @b00mb0xcr0vv23 You know it all makes since to why Cartoon Network has been making these insane changes over the past 7 years because in 2003 Disney and Nick were like in it's prime and Cartoon Network decided to try to jump to their level to out beat them by getting rid of Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, taking off all of the classics, and gradually putting on live action shows. It all makes since now.

  • its not cartoonnetwork if its showing noncartoon shows too

  • Looks like fucking shit

  • Although they have the old shows back on CN, who is going to wake up 3:00 in the morning to watch it? I find that very pointless and should put the old shows on a time everyone can freakin' watch it and not in the fuckin' morning when everyone is asleep! Especially my little brother, who I can't show how GREAT the old era was and how crappy new shows have gotten!

  • @SuperStrawHatSaiyan2 What are you talking about? Powerpuff Girls air at 10:30am, Dexter's Lab is at 11:30am, Kids Next Door at 12pm, Tom & Jerry at 1pm, Ed Edd n Eddy at 2pm and Billy and Mandy 3pm, not to mention Courage who follows afterwards. This is far from 3am in the morning...

  • @TuneTamasha I think it's Cartoon Network Philippines/Asia. They're showing the classics between 1:00 - 5:00 A.M.

  • @TuneTamasha Not to mention Looney Tunes.

  • @TuneTamasha - Only Ed, Edd n' Eddy and Courage air.

  • @TuneTamasha Thats when everyones at school and they dont get a chance to watch it.

  • @SuperStrawHatSaiyan2 now 3:00 is adult swim but 6:00 is looney tunes

  • I don't get it. I know of about a million kids in the world--older AND younger than I--who have said that they hate this Craptoon Network. There are thousands of petitions, CN has a 'Contact Us' section on their website...(even the website is garbage now, I can't bear to go back anymore) So, why is this still going on?

  • My friend said to forget about the old CN and that it will never comeback well I doubt that he saw the old one for as long as I have. for my entire child hood, this is all I watch, now looking at it. I say give it back to us.

  • Wow, two fags prancin around in spandex and giant cn cubes. Pretty cool. Makes me wonder who's in charge of the network now a days and if they're paycheck goes up their noses, or in some male strippers g string.

  • @TheZapzupNZ

What he/she meant was Cartoons nowadays are not as influential as they were back in those days. Kids don't really get connected with contemporary cartoons, because contemporary cartoons don't have the artistic, emotional, story telling, or original values.

  • 6teen returns January 3rd.

  • @MegaMoneyMan99 FUUUUUUCK! Lol that show sucked.

  • Comment removed

  • Now I remember that,"You can never trust Wikipedia!"

  • Powerpuff Girls returns Monday,December 6 at 10:30am.

  • @MegaMoneyMan99 Cartoon Network is back and good.

  • @JamesFlipper77 Dude,I agree!

  • Surprisingly, when I saw the two block characters in bumpers for the "Thanksgivingest Movie Weekend Ever", their heads are gone. ???

  • its much cooler in sweden search it on youtube

  • The fuck did I just watch. Did they just get lazy and put whatever up?

Only thing I like was the beginning where it showed the original CN for like only a short second.

Bring back the noods those were actually decent and entertaining.

  • 1992-2004: A Golden Era of Cartoon Network

    2004:2007: Mediocre

    2007-2008: TOTAL BULLSHIT

    2008-2010: LOL

Now: Good Wive The New CN

  • @MrGurubill 1992-2004: Amazing!

    2004-200: Pretty good

    2006-2008: Bad

    2008-2010: Even worse

    2010-present: Still bad...

  • @LuckDice

2010-present: starting to get better with some show's back.

  • @MrGurubill Ment to say 2004-2006 not 2004-200

  • 1997-2005 well 05 was the start of dying and now this crap I want the 90s version and early 2000 cartoon network with he old logo along with toonami!!!!

  • CN's 2010 logo is Only The Beginning Of Bringing Back The Old Logo

  • @jasongunning2468 And they are going to make the new checkerboard logo as the official logo by 2013.

  • Comment removed

  • @JamesFlipper77 Where did you get that info about it returning in 2013?

  • @MegaMoneyMan99 Wiki.

  • @MegaMoneyMan99 They redesign the checkerboard logo, giving it a new font that is similar to Eagle Bold and removed the outline.

  • @JamesFlipper77 I LOVE the new logo! Plus,I REALLY hope they use the new checkerboard logo as the main logo in 2013!

  • @MegaMoneyMan99 CN has a new president. I was think that the new guy that runs CN must have been a longtime CN viewer. No wonder why Cartoon Network has been very successful this year! 2010 is the year CN gone from crappy to EPIC. :D

  • @JamesFlipper77 That is all AWESOME!

  • @JamesFlipper77 Now Wikipedia is saying that their going to use the new checkerboard logo on January 2,2011

  • well, in my opinion, CN is getting slightly better, but classic cartoon network was still better.

  • LET'S PUT IT HIS WAY!! THE GOLDEN AGE OF CN WAS 1997-2006!!

  • finally the fucking shitty shows like flapjack and choward and CN REAL are going going gone its good to have my old channel back where's the fuck is toonami

  • Everyone Dexters Lab is back!Coming on Monday at 11:30am on Cartoon Networkl.

  • Comment removed

  • the cartoons that is

  • cartoon network should just run the same schedual they did in the ninetys. younger kids wont notice. it's not like they aren't relevant anymore.

  • @Hunterq939 you're kidding. right?

  • Honestly, I want them to do re-runs of older shows rather than create new episodes of stuff like EEE and Johnny Bravo. Why? Because I doubt they would be able to draw them to give it that "old" feel that we are actually nostalgic about. This same thing goes with Legend of Zelda: OoT and MM, since they really can't make a game close to those with same graphics due to inventions being substantially higher and "better" than they were about 10-20 yrs ago.

They should somehow draw like back then! :(

  • @Hunterq939 Please tell me you're not lying...It's not funny if this is a joke.

  • I can only imagine what there Christmas commercials will be like.....

  • @Hunterq939 Is toonami really coming back

  • 1992-2007 THE BEST OF CARTOON NETWORK!!

    Very Late 2007-Present...SHIT......

  • 2010- Rebirth Of Cartoon Network

  • @JamesFlipper77

    into a total crapper house.

  • @JamesFlipper77 NOT! CN is still crap.

  • @LuckDice Blame Stuart Synder........

  • @LuckDice They brought back Looney Tunes.....

  • @LuckDice Hold on.... you know they're bringing Thundercats on CN.

  • @JamesFlipper77 Yeah but I never watched that show so...

  • @LuckDice *Facepalm*

  • Cartoon Network was always good but they really went bad when they ended all of their best shows between 2006-2009 they ended:

    Codename: Kids Next Door

    Ed Edd N Eddy

    Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends

Space Ghost Coast To Coast (perhaps the only good live action show they had)

and so many more if they continue Courage The Cowardly Dog again i would be jumping for joy and I'd wake up as early as 3:00 AM just to watch a new episode of Courage

    R.I.P Cartoon Network 1992-2009

  • 1992-2004 Best Era

2004-2007 Still Good Getting Some Laughs

    2007-2009 Worst Era

2010-present Checkerboard Era Returning And Nineties Shows Slowly Returning

  • They got some stylish Halloween bumpers.

  • The bumpers are still the same but now they saying the name of the show now

  • hey what happen to naruto i want naruto back in cartoon network or you can put it in adult swim and one piece all the show we been watching when toonmai was there

but keep generater rex and keep ben 10 on saturday but ben 10 and generator rex still keep it on fridays :D and new animes on adult swim.

  • @ninafortner1 that now on Disney XD

  • Nice rebrand. Just fix the shows. Just when i thought cn real was diming down, The announsed new episodes of dude what would happen and destroy build destroy. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

  • they have this in the uk now as well its awsome

  • who likes this idea for fridaynight block called finally its friday..

    800/700c The looney tunes show

    830/730c Regular show

    845/745c MAD

    900/800c Sym Bionic Titan

    930/830c Adventure Time

  • @SuperMarkmoney

I like it! You should send it to CN. Because Mondays is just a stupid idea. Monday night is the day I have to go to bed early and go to school -_-. Fridays nights would be A LOT better because then I could watch them. Just send the block idea to CN and see what they say. It's about time we'd have a new Friday night block combined with BOTH action and comedy!

  • Thats right! It comes on at 5:00pm eastern standard time.

  • The good news is that they brung back Billy & Mandy!

  • @MegaMoneyMan99 brung back?

  • heres what I think

    1992-95 great new cartoon channel

1995-2000 a great place for cartoons

    2000-05 THE GOLDEN AGE

    2006-07 going way down hill

2008-09 A GIANT PEICE OF CRAP

    2010-now getting better

hopfully the next few years will get back to the way it was

  • @micmia couldnt have said it better myself lol

  • this sucks

  • hate these bumpers, they are a total waste of time where I could have been on Youtube.

1992-2004: A Golden Era of Cartoon Network

    2004:2007: Mediocre

    2007-NOW: TOTAL BULLSHIT

  • @SMASH468 1992-1995: Cool new channel with classic programming.

1996-1999: Great original Programming mixed with classics.

    2000-2005: AT ITS PEAK!!

    2006-2010: WTF!! LIVE ACTION,SHITTY CARTOONS,BAD BUMPERS,FRIED DYNAMITE?

2011-2012: Hope they get better soon. The old president is gone.

  • @SMASH468

2004 wasn't all that bad. More than 20 cartoons debuted at that time, but it became overshadowed by live-action in 2007

I think 2010 is when they finally realized all the damage they've done. With new shows like Regular Show, Sym-Bionic Titan, and Adventure Time, not to mention upcoming shows like Young Justice, The Looney Tunes Show, and Thundercats, CN is finally getting back its momentum it had in pre-2007. All we need is a new Toonami.

  • @SMASH468 RIP 1992-2004

  • @D4vid100000 RB 2010; RB stands for Re-birth.

  • @JamesFlipper77 shows still fucking suck

  • @D4vid100000 STFU!!!!

  • @JamesFlipper77 dont cry :'(

  • @D4vid100000 ???? I'm not crying.

  • @SMASH468

Well it really ended horribly in 2008 when toonami died due too CN having aids

  • @SMASH468 But I liked 2004-2007 Because It was the "Worldly Version" lol

  • @SMASH468 you can say that again

  • I actually like this rebrand of Cartoon Network.

  • I think cartoon network is getting better. is way better than nickelodeon and disney. Adventure time, flapjack seems good is better than total drama crap. Unnatural History is actually good, it just doesn't belong on cartoon network. Nickelodeon needs that type of show. We also got to remember since we grew upin the 90's we were so use to that animation and style that is harder to adapt to this new style that cartoon network has. But i do wish they get a anime block.

  • @77karim7 I doubt it's getting better, it hasn';t been geting any better since that new 2004 line up, they have messed up the whole block, CN Real is gone, but has returned, as Unnatural History, hope I didn't offend you.

  • @SMASH468 All I'm saying is we might never get any near close to the the cartoons of 90's but i think cartoon network this year was better than it was last year

  • @ElectricPenguin77 So true!

  • fuck you, cartoon network or "CN" you fucking sell outs, live action? ON FUCKING CARTOON NETWORK? PLUS all these new cartoons are total shit fests ESPECIALLY total drama______ which you keep reviving for some fucked up reason, please revive the old cartoon network.

  • i used to love cartoon network at first but now i think cartoon network sucks and that they need to put back the old shows like dexter labortory or CN will die

  • at 0:00 the old logo WARNING super fast

  • @legodude604 im impressed they used it i thought i got burned when they tossed all the old shows in the fire

  • the commercials are even lame now...i remeber when they used to always show kiddie type commercials and cartoon commercials now they show commercials about health insurance and shit. Or i might be thiinking about kids WB :P

  • Back in the day we would watch shows like ed edd n eddy, johnny bravo, etc. Nowadays, we see bullcrap like total drama, johnny test, adventure time(whats the point of that show??) and now we have crappy unnatural history. even shows during 2000-2007 were worth watching (like billy and mandy). i heard that cartoon network will be adding more live action shows that will make cartoon network look even worse.

  • @subzero2327 whoa wait what do you mean EVEN billy and mandy?

  • @tokyomilkshake2- i know billy and mandy was lame but some episodes were worth watching rather than having to watch flapjack.

  • Thank god. Those Noods sucked!

  • Was Pokemon! The 13th Movie! going to come out in America on Cartoon Network This Fall in 2010! or What?! >:(

  • ALL THEY NEED TO DO IS TAKE REAL PEOPLE OFF CARTOON NETWORK AND IT WILL BE COOL

THEY ALREADY GOT THE THEME BACK

  • @ElectricPenguin77 Ah. Garfield is meh but its at least 10x more decent that most of the other programming. Those other shows you mentioned are most of the few remaining CN shows that are actually good. You've got pretty good taste. :)

  • And checkerboard wipe to...

  • Well, at least these are more creative than Nickelodeon's boring new bumpers, where all it is is just a white background with simple transition animations.

  • Looks like Cartoon Network is going back to the way it was before 2003. Life is good again!

  • The rebrand is a lot better--but take out the guys in the CN costumes. NO humans should be on cartoon network. Now all they gotta do is replace the shows and bring back more old ones. They already brought back Ed Ed n Eddy, KND, and Courage. We need more!

  • @XAJanaeX They did take off the humans in the C and N costume.I havent seen the live action bumpers since the first or second week of June

  • @ElectricPenguin77 Like what?!?

  • Are these bumpers real?

  • @TheRaker55 duh -_-

  • @FutureGohanSSJ2 I haven't watched Cartoon Network for about 2 months.

  • @TheRaker55 but why would someone make these if they were fake? plus, u should. all except one live action show are gone.

  • @FutureGohanSSJ2 And what is that?

  • @TheRaker55 Unnatural history, and its only on tuesdays now anyway ;P

  • i really hope they won't make the title ironic with their life action shows

  • 1:04 1:17 so stupid

  • The new bumpers are better. The new logo, however, sucks.

  • seeing the old classic logo is absolutely a good sign

  • COMING UP ON CARTOON NETWORGAHHHH

  • I miss the old Cartoon Network :l

  • what time did the new bumper logo come?

  • All they just need are better shows.

  • WOW THE OLD LOGO LOL

aww the noods are gone lol i liked them :3

i mean its kinda cool, but those C and N guys arent funny

this whole futuristic look for ALL television gets annoying *cough nickelodeon cough*

  • @AnimeKat52 they still have the noods. they just only use them for the flicks now that ppl really hated them for ruining cartoon network.

  • (C) Johnny Test - (they are legal owners of Scott Fellows) all rights reserved copyright and legal production of Cookie Jar Group (2008 - present) a division of Viacom International and Warner Bros (2005-2008) a Division of Animation Time Warner - Canada and the United States, 2005 -2008, 2009 - present

  • I was super happy to see the old logo briefly. They are coming back slowly.

  • @sweetieproductions I heard that Ted Turner wants Cartoon Network back the way it was when it was good

  • @satinsguard Really?!

  • @MegaMoneyMan99 I'm not really sure. But this rebrand is pretty cool. Just gotta get rid of the shows, though.

  • the new logos and bumpers are way better than 2009

  • What if Cartoon Network would sometimes use their old logo on some tv shows;and also use the new logo on some tv shows. That way,it would be fair.

  • Great rebranding. It's like their mashing new and old together.

  • Wowww :D I LOVE the rebrand! I mean its new yet it kinda gives you that older CN feel too. I think they're slowly getting back on the right track.

  • @ElectricPenguin77 Pay close attention. They're only using the latter now.

  • they tryed to bring that shit back man FUCK the new cartoon nework and FUck the new nick i want my hey arnold and dexter back

  • Woah this isn't so bad it certianly beats the Noob Theme

  • Close but no banana. Bring back the Eagle Bold font, CN!

  • BRITANICK sold out huh? so that's why they havent uploaded a new video in forever. CN bought their souls. smh

  • I have a feeling that slowly but surely, it'll truly be "Cartoon" Network again. They just need to get rid of the live action and bring back Toonami or something similar that shows anime.

  • (apologize for double post)

But seriously, I really like how they slightly brought back the logo. Not to mention that the whole "inc colored theme w/ blocks" theme. The only thing that semi-killed it for me was the two guys but the MAJOR kill for me was the bumper for the live action show at the end:

    .

    .

    :C

  • At first, I was like: :D

But then when I saw that one new live action promo, I was like: [Insert rage face]

  • Stick to your crappy CN logo and place the checkerboard one back when you show something worthy of its presence.

  • Bye Noods D:

  • it was good for the first min... then live action shit came on excuse my english but its true

  • I'm having a nostalgic moment seeing the checkerboard CN, but it's still the "Live Action" thing... At least it's a start...

  • cartoon network has some pretty good stuff on it, chowder, flapjack, adventurtime, then adultswim ;D

  • 90's cartoons>Now
