@abulakle And the passages about Nicodemus describes the PROCESS by which a believer must be saved. It doesn't define the CHARACTERISTICS of a saved Christian. People get hung up all the time on John 3:18 - "Whoever BELIEVES in him is not condemned..." and they think they don't have to be baptized. But there again, it's another part of the overall process. I'm sorry you don't comprehend the deep nature of the scriptures.....whoever has taught you has apparently failed themselves too.

@abulakle Water Baptism doesn't save - but it is a requirement and a DEMONSTRATION of obedience to the congregation. Repent first. Baptize second. Acts 2:38. That's the order of importance according to the Bible.
If you are struck by lightning after repentence, but before baptism, you go to Heaven.

The Bible says we know a Christian by their fruits. @abulakle First, in order to backslide, you have to GENUINELY accept Christ. We, as Christians, are to flee the mere appearance of evil. Jr or Sr have never demonstrated that. They talk about it! But never done it.
Second, do you think this mega church knows what I know about this "appearance"? Do you think they are ignoring the Christ's teachings on being a disciple? Yes, they do (I hope). Yet they ignore it and allow these celebrities to grace their stage. Very bad representation of Christ

@abulakle Continue - After Christ revealed Himself, Paul said, "Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?" (v. 6). There is no such thing as Christianity without obedience. The very first thing Paul thought of when he submitted to the lordship of Christ was what he should do.Later in Romans 7, he stated that in his heart he delighted in the law of God (v. 22).
So again, obedience....deliberate and intense.......that is the model of a Christian. I've got more. You want it?

@abulakle I think I know more about God's expectations of Christians than you. This is true. If you're intimated by people with knowledge, then that's too bad. It's not conceited - just informed. The "model" of Christianity as noted in the Bible is nowhere near the example set by these so-called "Christians", Paul Sr or Paul Jr. I'm not passing judgement. It just is what it is. Bible says we know Christians by the FRUITS the bear. What FRUITS are they bearing lately? Puhhleeeeze....
