  • Very creative names

  • Must be Randy Orton's fish lol

  • such cool fish i have two oscars one albino tiger and one tiger and a catshark they are so cool though i think my oscars are boy and girl and the girl nips at him

  • @mylutinooscar yes it's incredible; i say the same thing when i go back and watch their old videos.

  • to dreamerguy91 you suck and my oscar will pwn yours

  • LOL ur very funny, check out my channel for the recent video of my oscar and you will realize how stupid you are.

  • i have a small jack dempsey 2 small tiger oscar one small albino tiger oscar and a small firemouth in an 85 gallon aquarium but my jack dempsey chases the oscars and firemouth around the tank

  • That's because Jacks are far more aggressive. If you keep them, you should generally make sure they are smaller than the other fish in the tank.

  • Try not to stress your brain over their names.

  • nice video i love oscars and jd's

  • Great fish tank. Do you think a 75 gallon tank can house 2 oscars?

  • Thanks. Yes a 75 would be the minimum to have 2 oscar, since people recommend 1 oscar per 30-55 gallon. My tank is around 30-32 gallons and really want a 75 or more for the oscar and JD, but i have to find room to place the tank lol

  • @dreamerguy91 I have the exact same fish as you. I bought a albino oscar fish about 2 weeks ago and now i just bought a jack dempsey today....weird. They both are young as well. but i think my albino is a girl because it isn't growing very fast

  • @fartie9 you made a very good choice in picking these two fish, they are awesome! but haha two weeks is a VERY short time to notice a fish growing, give it a month or two before you start noticing any growth. Both males and females grow pretty fast in their first year but males will just get bigger overall. Mine are pretty big now, living in a 75 gallon. Take care and if you need any help or info just hit me up and i'll be glad to help.

  • @dreamerguy91 @dreamerguy91 What Do you happen to feed the Jack Dempsey? Mine seems to stay near the bottom and doesn't really swim to the top for food. I also have tried to feed him shrimp pellets that sink and the oscar, i think scares him away or just gets in the way of feeding him. I know its only been one day since i have owned him, but maybe you feed him something different. They are in a 55 gallon with a very old Silver dollar and some gourami that's maybe 3 months old.

  • @dreamerguy91 The Oscar eats these little floating pellets.( I will be feeding him freeze dried Krill when hes big enough). I don't have a lot of hiding spots for my jack dempsey yet but i am trying to move the tank around so he has somewhere to hide. if you want i can make a video of it. So you can get an idea of what my tank looks like and how my fish are.

  • @fartie9 ok i see, what kind of pellet are you using? i have been using Hikari Cichlid Gold and it's VERY reliable and healthy! it also brings out the color of fish so it look nice and vibrant. A video would be nice to see but if you don't have time it's cool.

  • @fartie9 As of now i feed them three things. Wardley Chichlid Floating pellets which the oscar likes. Shrimp pellets for the Jack Dempsey but i hardly see him eat. And Nutrafin Max Tropicla fish flakes with color enhancers for my gourami and silver dollar. The floating pellets do not get eatting entirely because the oscar cannot find them lol. I'll get around to making a video as soon as i have time. I tried to make a hiding spot for the jack dempsey, he went into it right away then he left.

  • that's great, the babies grows up VERY fast lol anyways make sure you are fully committed to care for it b/c they need quiet a lot of care.

  • orton

  • nice fish and nice song voices (orton?)

  • thanks..yes the song is wwe orton theme song

  • aww so cute...they grew up fast but still pretty 5/5

  • male have a huge hump one its head female may have a small hump but not as big as th e male.

  • how can u identify a male flowerhorn from female?

    what are theyre characteristics?

  • it's hard to tell the difference when they are small but as they get big the males will have a big hump on the head, i have seen females with humps too but their humps are usually smaller, but the males are bigger than and buffer than females. Hope that helped

  • would it be possible to mix flower horn with oscar in one tank?

  • it is possible to house them if they are both raised from babies (just like i'm raising my oscar with jack dempsey) otherwise all they will do is fight which is bad because it puts them in stress...but if you have at least a 75 gallon, with lots of hiding places, make sure that they are the same length otherwise the bigger one will mess with the smaller one. how big is your tank? you should keep a divider handy incase something goes wrong.

  • tnx dude,.

how about the hump on his head?

how many years it would take?

  • your welcome...uh to be honest i have never kept one but have friends that keeps them, and told me that the hump should be visible as early as three inches...but if you want it to have a better looking big hump, you gotta keep the water quiet clean (weekly 25-30% water change) feed varied healthy diet(NO feeder fish) but feed live food such as meal worms and varied pellets. Temp around: 80 - 89° F (27 - 32° C), Ph: 6.5 - 7.8 (neutral to slightly acidic preferred). need more help..just ask :)

  • raise my temperature to 70-86?

wat should i do about it?

    add some hot water?

    i dont know plz help

  • First of all you have to tell me what type of fish you have.

Tropical fish needs a heater and coldwater fish like goldfish do not need a heater.

NEVER ass hot water...IT WILL INSTANTLY KILL YOUR FISH.

So let me know the type of fish you have so i can guide you to the right direction

  • my fish is a tiger oscar and an albino oscar, the one with white spot is the albino,.

  • oh ok...you have tropical fish...You need an aquarium heater ASAP and get some Ick medicine with AQUARIUM SALT...can you upload a video or a picture so i can see for sure if he's really sick or not?

  • i think hes already ok dude coz his white spots are gone,.

i just bought methylene blue to treat it, says by the man of the pet store

  • well i'm glad he's ok...you should post video of him sometimes

  • il post it,..

wat do you think is the best color to buy a flower horn?

  • oh ok...uh a good color would be orange or red, or orange with red...color really doesn't matter, just get a good looking healthy one.

  • my albino fish has white dots on his body,.

    wat is it

    ?

  • If the white dots suddenly showed up then your fish has a disease called Fish Ich.

  • wat should i do to treat it?

  • I use "Ick Clear Tank Buddies" it's in a box with 8 tablets. I had to raise the temperature to around 78-80 (because i have tropical fish) and used the medicine and it took about a week to treat all my fish but it might take longer depending on how badly infected your fish are.

  • ok thank u for the help

  • what size is ur tank and how big do they have to be to keep oscars in it??

  • The tank is around 30-32 gallons. I have kept my oscar in there since he was only 2.5 inches and now he's around 6 inches (check my channel for latest videos). Normally an single oscar should have at least a 50-55 gallon to himself. So let me tell you that it's best to start with the biggest you can afford. I am planning to get them a 75 gallon soon because he just keeps growing and chases the Dempsey from time to time (but no harm has ever been done)

  • You have a really nice oscar!

  • thanks..check out the updated video.

  • I want to feed my fish live earthworms. But can never find any in stock.

  • i never buy the worms...i just pick them from my garden after the rain (they usually come out after it rains quiet a bit)

  • Awesome fish man.....

  • nice oscar

  • hey man you asked me to comment on your vid about how the fish will grow... well lovely fish first of all... as the poster below mentioned you can expect 1" a month as a baby... they grow up fast... and then theyll slow down after a year and just thicken up... ive had mine for over 2 years now and they not getting any bigger... just thicker and fatter ;)

  • The oscar will probably grow 1-2" a month. What size tank is is ?

  • it's a 32, but you watched the wrong video, i have a newer one which i wanted you to watch.

  • hey even i have got albino baby oscars around 1", wht can can i feed thm best 2 get the orange colour on their body

  • i just bough one day but hes not active at all , the albino oscar, im hoping to grow it a lottt lol, what u feed urs???

  • I used to feed them HBH African Cichlid Pellet which soon became too small for them, so now they eat Cichlid hikari gold pellet, dried freeze bloodworms, tropical flakes (the one with the different color flakes), LIVE earth worms, Fresh frozen shrimps, and occasionally beef heart and liver. I feed them about 2-3 times daily but i do not feed them all the food i listed above every single day, i feed at least two different food a day and rotate daily. It also made their color very bright.

  • nice vid, i just got a baby oscar and he is growing fast....

  • thanx, mine grew too, the oscar eats from my hands now and the dempsey got big, fat, and changed his color, new video will be shot soon.

  • yeah mine jumps out of the water when i open the lid to feed him. i will have a video of mine soon.

  • hey even i have got albino baby oscars around 1", wht can can i feed thm best 2 get the orange colour on their body

  • thats the colour of mine orange.

  • hey even i have got albino baby oscars around 1", wht can can i feed thm best 2 get the orange colour on their body

  • you told me last night lol. i will have a vid 2morrow

  • Beautiful!!

    \

    Check out my new vids

  • expect all plants to be uprooted and moved.

  • Nice fish! I really like the set up, its pretty. Have you tried feeding the oscar frozen peas? My two LOVE them. If you try them peel them first because they spit the peel out and make a mess. I also just added a little Jack Dempsey to my two oscars. He/she looks alot like your little guy. :) Good luck. I am posting some new videos of how much they have grown if you wanna check them out.

  • Thanks, no i haven't tried peas. I have been feeding them small sinking cichild pellets, tropical flakes, and freeze dried bloodworms. How often do you feed yours? and are the peas special peas or the ones i can find at a grocery store? anyways i will be looking forward to seeing your videos.

  • hey cute fishies! im the girl you messaged on yahoo.

  • what size tank? and to answer a few of your questions you asked me, keep feeding pellets only thr the floating kind... When it gets bigger you can feed rosie reds BUT BEWARE!!!! you fish can get sick from eating live feeders

    nice looking Oscar btw

  • it's a 32. The dude i know from the petstore recommended me to buy the sinking ones and then get the floating one once it gets bigger. The oscar just started going for the pellets now, so i am happy. About the feeders don't worry i will not feed him those sick gold fish, i rather feed him crickets, and get him few of my guppies and platies that i breed cause i dont want to risk feeding him goldfish. Thanks for the comment btw
