Yes. The door panel must be removed to access the speakers. It is held on by a few screws (on behind the handle, one on the grab, and possibly one other). Then you have to remove the top corner piece (by the mirror) and the handle and switches. After that, the door is held on by clips. There should be a video on YouTube that shows the process.
Did you have to take the whole door panel off to change the front door speakers?
