  • @knopf90 it's Django way

  • YOU FINGER GOD DAMMIT !

  • @AbstractGreenDude fingers*

  • WOW

  • you know when you've been django'd

    Igualmente, felicitaciones.

  • bravo.

  • amazing! could you please tell me what kind of guitar you are using? thank you :)

    it sounds great!

  • amazing! could you please tell me what kind of guitar you are using? thank you :)

    it sounds great!

  • No matter what anyone says, the man WAS AND STILL IS THE MAN! Fantastic sound, and style, and has led the way for all interested to copy and improvise! We should have a Django day!

  • Everyone keeps freaking out about the whole 2 finger ordeal. I guarantee that if Django was able to use all 4 fingers he would not have had the sound that he did.

  • Nice job ....

  • I had fun playing along with this

  • I never knew Steven Colbert played guitar.

  • Good Job !!!! Appreciate it!

  • i think you arent in time in middle of the tune,,,you are a little off the tune

  • awesome right on

  • This playing really captures what this sort of music is about. Dead on!

  • now use two fingers

  • thanks for posting ! Check mine if you want I play with a typical Selmer type guitar

  • thanks for posting ! Check mine if you want I play with a typical Selmer type guitar !! Sounds good !

  • cant believ u dont use a pic lol

  • Sounds fantastic

  • awsome !!

  • great playing! what tuning did django normally play in??

  • @ArtFeiledo u have a tab or sheet music for this?

  • Nice Sound, Man ! DUde, it sounds realy cool!

  • I'm pretty sure Django would have used all his 4 fingers if he could. There is no point in playing with only 2 fingers.

  • @JSilver3112 This is way out of most people's league, and this Kid was like 12 when this was recorded

  • This is great guitar playing man!

  • this is incredibly nice. Thans for posting this.

  • Please make a tab cause I only got down the first 32 secs and the rest I get lost from your hand movement so please tab it

  • Excellent playin' Art!!!!

    I Love It!!!!

Thank you for sharing with us!

    :>)

  • IIIIIIIIII WANT YOUR TABS.

  • nice cover man.. can you give me your tabs ?:P

  • this is very well done !

  • using 4 fingers to fret, cheating!

  • using pinkie, nothing like django

  • You have done an excellent job, and cheers to you for keeping some of the best music in history alive!

  • wow, you SUCK

  • @echosOfthePast666 There's something wrong with you, either that or you just love yourself, regardless, I'm sure no one else on here cares what you've got to say, only someone incredibly stupid or closed-minded could agree with what you just said.

You may not like the music, however, you're simply wrong if you think that he is someone who sucks. If you're just making comments like that to make people think you're better then I pity you, a real musician doesn't play to better others. Grow up.

  • omfg pinky in gypsy jazz <.<...

  • great job ! :)

  • great job!

  • great! and now do it on a bass-guitar :)!

  • Awesome playing x)

  • ouais super !

  • I keep coming back to watch this video. Man, you should be famous! Or are you?! :)

  • mucho perfecto

  • Nice to see you are using your fingers for picking. Much more freedom in my opinion.

  • don't try to imitate django! it is imposible!

  • nice interpretation . . .

  • Nice Cover. ;D

How do you learn to play like Django Reinhardt..? : D

  • Oh my God.

    This is great.

  • said it before , amazing ! i love this one..

  • MAN, you're the best! I love your style and the soul you put into it! Two thumbs up!

  • Very Nice.

  • Very close, good job

  • Ha! Very nice.

  • Search Alamo Guitar Wars. You'll find several videos for it.. I played this song and won a new guitar. I dig the way you have embellished the rythms in the song. It's different and unexpected, but it fits very nicely.

  • wow.....I have been playing for about 20 years....all rock style, Clapton, Page, Hendrix, Richards, minor pentatonic scale....however, that style of playing just blows it off the stage !...really, really good. I could watch that all night, and then some....I'm not jealous........(ish).

  • great

  • naaa Django è un'altra cosa...

  • great cover *_*

  • How long ago did you start playing the guitar? And how old are you? You are really good.

  • you cheated you used all 4 figers lol, just kidding that was amazing

  • thanks a lot for that. beautifully piece, beautifully played

  • @thatparkourdude Does your brother have some videos uploaded on youtube? I'd be very interested in seeing what his "Django-technique" looks and sounds like, and of course in getting to know a new guitarist.

If you are interested you can watch my cover of Minor Swing, too...

  • Do you have any tabs??

  • Now i'd be ore impressed if you did it with your index finger and your ring finger..... XD LOL

  • weltklasse.

  • Did Django use picado, or did he pick the strings?

  • Django used a pick

  • @hendrixkixas Turtle shell picks.

But there's an old story of him having nothing on hand to use at a club so he used the tooth of a comb.

  • does anybody knows where can i find the best tab?

  • he plays the same in "guitar pro 5" version: minor swing.gp3 :-)

  • the same version as in....*

  • Nice.

  • Super !! Continuez !!

  • you are either a good guitar player, or a good actor... )

  • I play classical with the same technique and chalk it up to being a bassist.Play bass?? In any case, nice job!

  • The amazing thing about django is not only that he did it all with two fingers, but that it was all improv.

  • Cheating lol. I try, as a tribute to the greatest guitarist of the time, to use only two fingers when I learn his stuff. Fantastically played though mate. Very well done

  • I don't see any reason why a player who's able to use all fingers should reduce his abilities by only using 2 fingers. Of course, Django was incredibly amazing with only 2 fingers. But he played as good as his handycap allowed him to. Why should someone create an artificial handycap on hisself? One should concentrate on oneselfs' problems and not copy those of an old master and idol.

  • @Zorgorath My stupid fucking brother uses two fingers to play Django too.

Because the music is "tailored to using only two fingers, so it's easier to use just two fingers."

  • Could you please at least tell me what guitar and chords you are using? Thanks!

  • WOW! no comment!

  • holy crap - good effort vandamme, soooolid

  • vandamme its you??????

  • he is a king!!!

  • fu-uck

  • what amazes me about Django is that he did it all, he two hand tapped, sweep picked, did all sort of harmonic tricks and all with just two fingers and a guitar that he probably made.

  • metoo.

i mean itshad enough playing one part, but django was a true multi-tasker.

  • Very cool, I imagine this must be difficult to play using your fingers for the right hand.

  • It's ok, now just with two fingers! :D

  • @Upsilver he is......on his right hand!

  • amazing job dude, you got it !!!!

  • wooooow awesome shit!

  • well sir u stunk it up! Lol

  • Genial , trés trés bien

  • Fantastico!

  • Your touch is overwhelmingly impressive.

    Great play!

  • Excelente!

  • wow, nice!

  • mama!! very good!!!!!!!

  • You cheating! Using four fingers?!

    Just kidding, this is beautiful...

  • Awesome playing! That's the Django solo - why call it original? Whatever, good chops!

  • Feile.

Et la deuxième guitarre... C'est toi aussi?

    Pre-enregistrée?

    Impeccable!!!

  • it was great!!!!

  • Crazyy..Awesomee..

  • Do you have the sheet music? =ô.ô= I've been looking for it everywhere

Amazing video by the way!! :D Love the technique.

  • You play guitar like a bass-guitar!!!

    really cool!

  • lol. he plays classical style or fingerstyle lol not like a bass

  • classic fingerstyle is how he plays

  • very well played

  • yay dude that really swings

  • Music of Mafia: The City Of Lost Heaven :D

  • perfect!

  • Little timing problems, but other than that, it's pretty good!

  • excellent--to play minor swing without a pick is a great acheivement

  • are you lot deaf?he cant even play in time

  • Superb! I love the flamenco technique applied to Django's music...the rhythm sequence and following run at 120 seconds are as good as it gets on guitar.

  • 1:20 is awesome man, im not tired of watching this vid

  • hey! mais c'est Django Lagoya!

    bonne route

    wil

  • You gotta give this guy lots of credit for his right hand picking.

  • he clearly plays classical and he should stick to it.

  • have heard and saw bireli lagrene, artfeile is far better man, sounds close to django

  • Y. Loeffel ftw!

  • Very nice, Love this song and it's so nice to see it being played.

  • Yess!! This is completely awesome! You rock!

  • Check out the clip of Bireli Lagrene playing Minor Swing. THIS is Gypsy Jazz at its best and Hono Winterstein is regarded as one of the best rhythm players... Funny how he's not playing reggae time. He plays on all four beats like everyone else on this tune, not just the 2 & 4. I would recommend the books from Colin Cosimini or Angelo Debarre to get started on correct rhythm, a 3mm pick and of course a selmer type guitar. Art has nailed that Django solo though, especially on the archtop clip.

  • Comment removed

  • Well done, especially as the rhythm player was on the off beat. Sounds like he's used to playing reggae. You could be a good bass player with a right hand like that , if your not one already...

  • Lol, never heard gypsy jazz obviously? The rhythm player is playing how the style is played. Go listen to some gyspy jazz man! This is a great Django-esque sound, I dig it man!

  • oops miss interpreted the title sorry

  • k that was awesome, it wasn't a original solo though.

  • well played! :D

  • wow! I'm guitarrist and I know that is very hard to do that! dude you're my hero :D

  • whether he use 4, 2 fingers or even 1 finger. it does not matter, coz artfeile is good..

  • play it with 2 fingers even though you have 4 to use just to prove you can truly cover django

  • actually it's better to use 2 fingers, like stroke up/down with a pick.

  • Django lost fingers on his LEFT hand...

  • Django was playing with 2 fingers in left hand i play with my 4 in left hand. I just play without pick ( right hand) cause i learn to play like that as a self taught guitar player.

Wes Montgomery was playing with his tumb in right hand and Joe Pass was playing with mix fingers and pick.

So I think that there is no rules. Play like you can , but play...

And to be honnest who care how many fingers i use ?

do you enjoy the music ?

  • american sound ....yeah funny

  • awesome playing :)

    what's that guitar name ?

  • just awesome!

  • swings back and forth :)

  • Great , thanx a lot

  • bravo.....ma hai tutte le dita

  • superbe, splendid. Do you think it's possible for me as someone who doesn't play the guitar but extremely loves it, tu learn this song by myself in one month. I think it's impossible but please give me some hope.

    You're great

  • xDDD

  • If you're that dedicated, had a flawless practice routine, and lots of practicing time, you could probably do it slow. But there's no way to get that down to full speed for a beginner in one month. It's not necessarily how dedicated you are, but how fast of a learner you are. And I cannot think of anybody who learns that quickly and efficiently.

  • keep the rythm !!!

  • what are those chords at 1:28 and after that? thanks.

  • you are amaaazing!!! thanks for sharing!!!

  • It's a amazing version , very closed to the original.

Before the Chromatic descent, do you play the last chord as it : 15151517 (from aigu E to D) ??

  • nice nice nice!!! Bravo!!!

  • Ops.......maravilhaaaa!!!!! That's all!

  • Man you have that vibrato just right ..Thanks !!
