What you mean to big, the Lugs look good, they're just "Manly" lugs thats all!!! Thanks for the Isaac Button mention, between your 250 videos I've saved and the 220 or so on Isaac Button I should have enough to get me through my Chemo therapy sessions for awhile. Some people live their lives through their dreams, Not me, I'll live through my saved videos for now!!
I watched the Isaac Button videos (several times actually) and the skill he had was something to behold. I especially liked the part where he lugged the large jars. The videos are inspiring and at the same time they make me feel like lazy lout. Simon any idea what the small round pots he made were used for? Drippings?
why didn't you trim a foot ring on the bottom? I am a production potter from California and I love your videos but Ive noticed that often you dont put in a foot ring. I know the reason is that it takes up more time per piece, but the art scene where I live it is expected.
Hi ...change the art scene then ! ...why waste time as you say with things that arent necessary ? Fill up your wheel with trimmings, extra time for recycling the clay ....take life by the "smooth handle" I would say , ...best SL
Hi Simon, Thanks I just love learning and watching you practicing. Your a great person & potter. Hey did you ever hear of Dumbo? He's a baby elephant in a Disney story, he had big ears;-) LOL ;-) Karen

I think flat bottoms are better for casserole dishes. They heat more evenly and sit on the oven grid better
