I was in Detroit cheering for the Predators, because one of their players played Junior in my hometown(Sault Greyhounds), but I was also cheering for Raflaski, et al on Detroit. (hockey pool) I was absolutely cheering for Steve Sullivan from Nashville, but at the same time, Detroit. Once I explained my situation to the season ticket holders next to me( I'm really a Toronto Maple Leaf's fan), they felt sorry, and wanted to party ! Al G
Everyone needs to stop fighting and accept the games for what they were. Both USA and Canada have excellent teams and we need to appreciate that. Instead of saying who's better than who, we should be proud that the best hockey is played in North America. Personally I would love to bring back the North America vs. World All Star games. I hate it that ignorant people say, "USA sucks" when yeah even though our team lost, they don't suck. Our boys played their hearts out and showed what they can do.

Canadians and Americans both had great teams! I'm proud of our silver medal. We weren't even supposed to get a bronze medal. It was supposed to be about Russia and Canada in Vancouver. 2014, we'll have to see. 1980 makes me proud to be American! USA, USA!! Btw, what happened to Team Canada that year?
@maggsterrrrr All our players were in the NHL! That's back when 75% of the NHLers were Canadian. Now we're only at 51%. Considering, Canadians are outnumbered 180:1 by the rest of the world, it's amazing , really, that we are winners in any world event!

But I DO think, if you look at the stats of Canadian players in the NHL, during the playoffs, we, as a nationality over-perform. Thus, we kick some serious butt(ususally) during an Olympics. Or other players, who play with the determination and grit like Canadians. They(we) ALWAYS step it up when it matters!

The Fact of the Matter is Canada has the best hockey team in the world, but should the US be ashamed, absolutely not it was a great game and i almost pissed myself when Parise scored in the last 20 seconds. But as i said they won congradulations and to be honest we got the most medals as we always do and as a whole were the most athletically gifted nation in the world so say what you want. Besides we'll win the world cup this year so it makes up for it.

@UltMitSinner78 not really....we beat u once,and u beat us once,and the 1 u beat us in just happend to be for gold. not saying canada didnt deserve it,but the game could have gone either way. if we lost as bad as russia did to u,or finland to us,i would agree with u,but otherwise i think usa fits right into hockey.

Honestly I would say America was the better team and played better then Canada throughout the tournament. Oh well Silver is pretty good too.

yea,i mean of course i wanted usa to win,and im not saying canada didnt deserve it,but im sick of people saying "yea usa sucks they lost" when we already beat canada once(gold medal aside), and had an extremely close game for the gold.

yeah some canadians can be stupid, but so can americans....i think it was unbelievable game to watch....and we should congratulate both teams for the effort that was shown tonight...this is why i love hockey...and hopefully you guys start supporting your teams more....lets not fight, we are neighbours....and there is one thing we can all agree on here, and that is NORTH AMERICA KICKED SOME MAJOR ASS this olympics

cuz on paper its not even close, so in a way you're lucky the games were. just make team totals of nhl goals, points, plus minus, or even salary, and it will become pretty fucking obvious.
you did gel better together in a very short tournament though (why? who knows), and had a the best goalie, so you deserve praise for that.
