The 1/20th of a second counter actually keeps track of the time internally once the chronograph is started, but it won't actually read out the time until you stop the chronograph so it appears to catch up
@19kristian93@19kristian93 You will have to re-set your seconds counter to start at 12. You can do this by pulling out the crown (as if to set the time) and click the top pusher one time to advance it each second until you get around to the 12 position, we have a video on how to do this as well here: youtube.com/watch?v=drDCcdtjbvQ
@labrat10001 Actually, use of the chronograph or stopwatch will not disturb the actual timekeeping of the watch. If you have a watch that does this, then the watch is not working properly and it should be fixed.
On this particular watch the second hand ticks. Normally, you will only see a sweep second hand on an automatic or mechanical watch, or the new Bulova Precisionist quartz models. Note in the video after the chronograph is started the subdial at the 9 o'clock position, the hand is ticking. This is the ACTUAL second hand as the large hand at the center is the chronograph second counter.
why does my seconds counter start at 4seconds and my 1/20th of a second counter stops after 24 seconds after start???

Can someone please tell me if the second hand of this watch 'ticks' or 'sweeps' while keeping regular time? Please respond. Thanks
