My Parents told me when ever they go swimming, and If someone ever get a Leech on them, they would make a Fire and burn the butt of the Leech and it will let go and come off. It's Better than doing this way. Though i forgot..Maybe they Carried a Lighter? i Don't know.

Best thing to do is to leave the leech alone. The leech will eventually be gorged with blood and fall off. If you remove it this way with salt, it's going to vomit whatever it has into your bloodstream and that's unpleasant.

you should have carefully removed it manually. emphasis on carefully because grasping it may cause it to vomit same goes for using salt, it will cause it to vomit the contents in there....stomach i guess and will enter the wound increasing the chances of disease and infection. same goes for soap, or a chemical such as alcohol, vinegar, lemon juice, insect repellent, a strong heat source, or certain carbonated drinks.

lol, the average body holds 4.4 to 5 Litres of blood, that thing probally only holds about 100 mL's at most, it is removed by putting your fingernail between its mouth and your skin, it will be unable to suck, they will not make you feel weaker simply because they cannot hold that much blood.
