@theaarontjuh Same Type Attack Bonus. When a pokemon uses a move that has the same type as it, the move will be boosted in power.

@theaarontjuh: Same Type Attack Bonus :) If you had a bulbasaur and a rattata that both knew tackle, the rattata's tackle will get a damage bonus because it's a normal type, the same as the move tackle. the bulbasaur wouldn't cause it's a grass/poison type!

meaning if the pokemon is a water type, and uses surf, because of STAB I believe it gains a 50% extra attack boost.

I guess he switched to Darkrai, thinking its faster than Jynx so that he could Dark Void or Dark Pulse it. I guess he disconnected in frustration when he learned that Jynx was faster. Nice work against the opponent despite the odds of having a scarfed pokemon as your last and not knowing the opponent's standby pokemon.
