i have and i pod and mp3 and i was considering going for the itouch...but its too much money for me, i basically want a wifi electronic because i dont tend to use my music electronics anymore, and i am considering buying this item, i came across it online and had to make sure i saw reviews and by this video i seem to like it, it just seems the web is kinda slow and the maneuvering of the pages seems slow...other than that could you give me more feedback

@CORAZoNdEMELoN1991 I would not recommend the archos. It is a great device, but I have had too many problems with it. I would recommend the Zune hd, the internet is very fast and it has less problems. if you have any questions about the zune or archos just ask.

With the DVR Recorder or the Battery Dock, can I simply connect my external hard drive, then use the archos interface to copy music over? Wow that would be convenience.

Also, do you know if the DVR station works well or at all with Comcast Digital Cable. And how hard is it to hook up the DVR station to your tv?

Mine's in the mail haha. I'm just really curious as to exactly HOW awesome it's going to be.

You can plug a full size usb plug into the base and transfer things between the archos and the device.Plugging the base into the tv is not hard but i do not know if the tv guide will work. it probobly will. I have another video where i show how it hooks to a tv. O yea this is my other account. I have two. My other video is under kartboy1234 account.

go to bestbuy or any electronics store and buy a wifi access point. yes you can move it to other places if you plug it into the ethernet port.

yes the archos has a sleep function. if you hold the power button it goes to sleep. if you go in settings and hit hard shutoff it turns off colpletely.

yes you can watch videos in web page view without going into full screen or it can go into full screen mode. oprah browser asks you what you want to do before it loads the page.

Yeah, that's really advanced. That web browser looks like it's from 5 years ago. The iPhone may not have a 160GB hard drive, but it's a hell of a lot better than that thing.

well this is different you have to see the web browser to appreciate it. the screen is higher quality than the I phone it has 200PPI the Iphone has 160PPI. And as you know the Iphone cost $600 the archos 605 wifi is $500 with the base stand. I also bought a samsung blackjack for $99. so I get two devices for $1 less than the iphone. I have better battery life from both. so yes the web browser on the Iphone may be more advanced but you are paying more for it and you have to pay the monthly fees

Lol I don't even know why someone would surf the web on devices like these, it's a nice feature but not really convenient on either one so if you take that out of the picture then the iPhone is an iToy compared to the 605.
