Why are Canadians in particular so into Korean?

@goldenpeninsula Canada is one of the top places that Koreans immigrate to/send their children to study. So, in my high school, I've have several Korean friends. This is where I, just another Canadian, gets his interest in Korea/Korean language from.

I think he is Korean but was born in Canada. Like me! I was born in USA and still live in the USA but can speak Korean and wrote Korean pretty fluently. I wish to live in korea after college or go to college in Korea. Haha
