  • Glocks are Unsafe. "Short Recoil" can be, too short.

    Glocks, are WAY too short.

  • 30

  • nice vid. glock 21sf is the way to go for me. it looks alot meaner and is an excellent range gun for me.

  • Thanks for the video. Can you tell us whether either of the Glocks here have a reversible magazine release?

  • You should start showing your groupings at certain distances so we can compare better!

  • for get a 45 acp ill get a glock 20 10mm o wait i have one o yaaaa

  • I would get the 30 sf with a rail...

  • @WRockW10 Me to...

  • I'm getting my CCW, and I'm seriously thinking of getting the 30

  • concealed by the way not open

  • nice video guys! i just purchased a railed g30 . this is my first "fat boy". ive always had the 9's and 40's. im gonna try to start carrying the 30. any tips on carrying the fat guy? i have a king tuk holster that rocks!

  • the glock is a fine pistol but far overpriced considering the method of manufacturing involved. Injection molding techniques, and plastic CNC machinery The barrel of the Glock uses a tab at the rear to lock with a slot in the back of the ejection port, rather than locking at the muzzle, which makes barrel/slide tolerances quite a bit less critical.

  • i have a G21 and have owned a G36(sold it to my dad) the G36 is a great little 45, very small and slim and carries 7 rounds of .45 in a tiny package.

  • For my unique personal/ethical reasons, I only allow myself to own one gun, and I thought you guys might want to know that I chose the g30sf. Since I only could choose one gun, I needed something with the most utility, universality, long term reliability, etc. FYI: I added talon grips and a NCstar rail light ($20). The gun came (used) with Trijicon night sights, extended slide release, wolff rod/spring, holster, 4 mags. I think as far as guns go, I'm done, set for life.

  • i already have a glock 30 sf

  • why can't youtube be like netflix and stream hd the right way? 7mb internet should stream hd just fine but youtube always fucks up real bad. anyways good video. i just ordered a 21 a few hours ago. can't wait to get it and go shooting

  • glock 30 and 23 are my favorates

  • I'd get the 21sf for home defense. For carry, I like the 9mm (Ruger LC9 type small guns), and .40 for standard size carry. (Glock 27-SW M&P compact type guns) I like .45 out of full size guns, due to ammo capacity limitations and short barrel lengths making the round a bit too slow for my liking out of compacts.

  • I don't currently own anything in .45 (everything I have at the moment is .40), but I will be buying a Glock 21 gen 4 next. And after that, likely a G30. I'd use the G21 for home defense and the 30 with flush mags for carry.

  • @FlyingPancreas The 30 is nice with a 21 magazine in it

  • @weaponseducation Would you happen to know if Glock will be producing a gen 4 G30 anytime soon? And Merry Christmas!

  • or i should say the 21SF all day

  • 21 all day

  • i would say the 30 just because i carry everything i buy. With that being said, i want a 21 just for HD. So it seems like a personal preference issue.

  • I've had a 21 sf for years now I open carry and conceal when needed. I weigh about 130 and I love the 21 sf! I have rather large hands and grip is not a problem. i can pick any caliber to carry and .45 is the only way i go!! 14 rounds of .45 just can't be beat, and don't forget aftermarket 27 round clips. I have about 10 maybe and have never had problems. God bless Glock amen and good day!

  • @mycogod1 Glocks are great firearms !

  • 1:42..... that's what she said.

  • The glock 30 is more accurate to me.

  • I shot the 30 and couldn't control it very well but the 21 was very easy to shoot. I didn't think there'd be that much of a difference. Most people don't have an issue with the 30 though. Gen 4 21 looks sweet.

  • im thinking about getting a 30 myself !

  • @tylerwhale666 You will not regret it! Own one, Decide between the SF30 and 30 Only difference is for hand size. Mine is the regular 30. SF Are for smaller handed people.

  • i will be buying a glock 21 sf soon i just perfer it the 30 is nice tho havent noticed any accuricy diffrenses

  • @ZeroLag0110 I like the 30 because it is smaller & very accurate, THX

  • If you have large hands as I do, you'll find the Glock 21 the better choice. With the right holster and right apparel, you can conceal it very well.

  • How many times does the poor women have to zoom. If she zoomed really each time he asked we would see molecules and pixels. lol - now... if you'll please zOOm in on dat!!!

  • Hi, can you tell me where I can purchase the t shirt that you were wearing in this video?

  • @tklu84 I think it came from glock.com

  • Tom, What barrel size can you interchange with a glock 30?

  • Good video but from my experience with the 30 and 21 the 30 was more accurate for me the 30 was also more accurate than my xd 45 acp I will be getting the 30 soon.

  • @LauderdaleFat I love the 30, thanks!

  • I vote for G30, which will probably be my next glock. I agree with you, I like the compact glocks. I don't like the +1 extension that comes stock with that gun. I bought a couple 9 round mags to test in a rental glock 30. I like my G27 mags with NO extensions.

not easy to find the 9 round mags.

makes me want to go to the range and shoot one :)

  • @jerko666 Great comment, thanks

  • glocks are hard beat

  • I would sacrifice the longer sight radius of the g21 and take the g30 because it is easier to conceal and you could always use the g21 mags if you wanted to raise the capacity. It just seems more adaptable to my needs.

  • I dont now why would anybody dislike this vid its great and very informative

  • I already got the 30 so ima got with the 21. great vid tom

  • Tom good info in this video, I myself own the Glock 21 but I carry the Glock 38 in 45 GAP for the same reason it is a smaller package.

  • Tom i would go for the G30. Great comparison and contrast of those two firearms.

  • I would have to go with anything but a glock. OK glock fans, I am ready for the comments.

  • Comment removed

  • @kenmath23 Why start that??

  • @jas0nkendrick ah, I'm just kidding. I just think its funny how so many people get so upset, Glock is a great gun, just not my preference.

  • I think I'll have the 30 because it's small and it's powerful.

  • Tom do you have night sights on your carry guns?

  • I have the LaserMax Laser on my Glock 30 and love it. No need for the huge rail mount or ugly grips. It's built right in. By far the best choice in Lasers for Glocks.

  • 30SF! thanks

  • 30 sf damn auto correct

  • 30 sd all day pearce extender stainless guide rod and spring and a wolf trigger job.

  • 30 or 30SF hands down vs the G21. More options, more flexibility using either the 10 round mag or the 13 round mag. You can easily use the 30 for carry or home use, without needing to have both. I always like the small and powerful packages as well vs the big huge full sized handguns ( although I have some of each). Thanks for the great vid as always Tom!

  • Fuck the NRA. They support gun runners, who in turn boost gun sales, which in turn donate to the NRA.

  • Everybody knows how reliable Glocks are, However they are Square,Black and Ugly.!!!!!

  • I have to say I've owned the 30 and 36 and both gave me feeding issues back in the day. I recall I liked the 36 more because it was slim. The 30 was "fat" but I could handle it fine. The 21 has never given me any prob. but its too big to CCW. I really have to say the M&P is a lot more ergo friendly than the Glocks. I've been carrying a M&P Compact 45 for a few months now and really like it as it reminds me of good ol 1911. Love that shirt Tom!

  • Id prefer a subcompact XD in .45acp, but they dont make one.

Id have to go with G30. I dont like that the 36 cant take any other mags then single stack 36 mags. The 30 is a great gun, just a tad too fat for my stubby hands.

  • @TacticoolGUY I love the XDm's also...

  • @weaponseducation Yeah, i really prefer the trigger, grip angle, and added safety with the XDs, and XDm models. Not saying glocks are bad, because i find things i like, and dislike in both. If only there were the perfect mesh of these guns to choose from. haha

  • @TacticoolGUY The single purpose G36 mag doesn't bother me as my G36 is a CCW gun only for me. The slimness of both the slide and grip is superior the excessive chunkiness of the G21 and G30.

  • @argonnj Oh i totally agree with that. I just prefer the versatility of the 30, for a ccw, and the ability to toss a hi-cap mag in it for home defense, or open carry. I havent priced out a 36, or mags for it, but i would assume the mags would cost a little more too, as they only work for that model... (i just assume).

  • I like the capability of that G-30, taking a G-21's mag with a spacer to make a trim fit with a full size grip length. I would, however, take the laser off or buy one without the laser. A laser would be an excellent psychological stopper, but a railed G-30 with a flashlight, that can use a strobe, would have the same effect. Also, I found a laser to be a little bit of a distraction for me when I'm aiming and I don't like being distracted when I'm about to shoot.

  • First: Its Crimson Trace Laser, not crimson laser trace. Second: both of these guns are bricks and neither one is substantially easier to conceal than the other. They are great guns, but really tough to conceal. The 30 is not that bad with the nine round magazine, which for whatever reason, must be sought out and purchased separately. Either of these will require the best gun leather (Milt Sparks, Cross Breed) to be a CCW piece.

  • @jtr109 Good comment, but everyone knows what I meant buy Crimson... did you have to nit pick? Thank for your input. Tom

  • @weaponseducation Sorry to nit pick, Tom. I know it was a slip of the tongue. But like when my boss calls magazines, "clips", I found it irksome. You obviously know your stuff. Just trying to keep you on track. Sorry if I came across as brusque.

  • @weaponseducation It's not nit picking to help others correct mistakes that will help them in the future to sound more professional regarding those items of which they are most passionate about. Constructive criticism is how one learns. I love your videos, I'm a faithful subscriber, but please Mr. Tom, don't take correction so personally, we learn from you, you learn from us, we all benefit! (btw, you misspelled "buy" in your reply) <-- had to, just to make you smile...hopefully. God bless.

  • A Springfield lol

  • I'm shopping for concealed! Thanks for a very helpful vid.

  • nice video. why the grip tape?

  • @rg3843 To cover up the spacer.

  • I like full size guns, currently own a M&P .45 full size. Between the 21 and 30 I think I would take the 30. If I ever get a CCW it would be easier for me to conceal since I'm skinny.

  • i have a 30 and i love it

  • i have a 39 and i love it

  • 21 without a doudt. I'm a fan of full size, full grip. But then I'm not talking about CCW'ing this.

  • i would say the glock 30 to serve a purpose as a CCW. smaller package and you only have 3 rounds. yeah I would prefer to have 3 more rounds but the smaller package is easier to conceal

  • I have had both of these guns, but for carry the G21 is just to big to conceal, so I would say the G30 would be a good carry pistol. But I did go with the Glock 23 Gen 4....Good firepower!!

  • Both guns are great. Can't go wrong with either one. Great video Tom.

  • @tux3d0 that would be awesome

  • I need a glock 21

  • I would go with the 30, and that shirt you were wearing is sweet! Great video as always.

  • can you put a Glock 30 barrel in a Glock 29 ??

  • Your points of view make a lot of sense. I would also go with the 30sf because you get two in one with the extra mag. I'm debating between a 1911 or the Glock 30 as my next 45acp. Thank you and God bless.

  • Hey Tom, would you still prefer the light and laser combo on the rail if your conceal carrying it or would you prefer the crimson laser for compactness ?

  • Great video Tom. I'm currently saving for a glock 29, 30, or 30SF. Do you also own a glock 29? I would love to see a comparison between the 45 ACP, and the 10mm. Which load do you think would give you more stopping power?

  • @SKINSKIN72 I'll do a video on that. I have a bunch of 29's my favorite round is the 10 MM by far. it blows away the .45 . Thanks

  • Great Info as always...... Thanks Tom

  • What if glock starts making rifles o.O

  • dam Tom i feel like im watching CNN LOL GREAT VIDEO

  • buy both! Honestly if you are a civilian for everyday carry I would look into the 30 or the 36... For home defense I would look at either and for duty I would use the 21... I have one that I used to carry for work I love it.....But my absolute answer would be BUY A 29 or 20!!!! 10mm !

  • I would go with the 30. The 30 gives you more options for carry

  • So as a practicle matter, is a .45 a good choice for concealment? Even a sub-compact .45 is still a large gun. Even a glock 26 is big compared to a .380. I realize everything's a trade off, but a bigger gun is no good if you leave it at home because it's a hassle. I am not a CCW which is why I am asking.

  • I have the 30SF. After working out the initial kinks, it works well. It is an absolute tackdriver at this point.

  • I have the 21, I need the 30, reason I want them both.

  • Definitely the 30! It will probably be my next hand gun purchase. I like the extension with the grip tape. Thanks foe an excellent video Tom!

  • Hey it's TOM! You speak, act, and talk like a gun shoppe owner. It's really cool, it's like shopping in a virtual reality gun store. Using skateboard tape was ingenious.

Flawless review, you had my complete attention from start to finish.

PS Big thanks to Mrs. Straightshooter xD

  • I have the glock 30. Being in the wheelchair it does work better for me with concealment in a chest holster. Great vid.

  • Very practical choice Tom. I would go with a compact Glock for CCW-personal protection and I agree with the rail options too.

  • Thanks Tom for the great video, its ironic that you made this video as I am currently considering choosing between these two great Glocks. I own Glocks in both 9mm and 40 but not a 45 yet. I think for me because it will be for home defense and a range gun, I'm tending toward the 21sf, so thanks for reviewing them for us...looking forward to the website going live...

  • I like the 30 for the size and the 10+1 magazine. Have you ever looked at the Para Warthog? I think it will be my next "compact" .45 acp. Nice small 1911 package with a double stack .45 acp magazine. Thanks for sharing. Stay Safe, and take care.

  • I'd prefer the 30 in the summer time for concealment and the 21 in the winter. The room is looking great Tom.

  • I've never liked the look of Glocks, but I would go with the 30 because of it's small size.

  • Nice vid Tom I have a G30SF with LaserMax Uni-Max Micro laser on rail. Laser is only size of quarter and I can turn it on/off. I love my G30SF

  • I dont like GLOCKS.!!

  • I would have to go with the 21 Tom

  • @gunnut1012 Thanks, what is your specific reason?

  • I'm not a fan of short grip guns. I like to get as good a purchase on the firearm as possible. I do like the G21, but for CCW i found a compromise btwn the G21 and tha G30. I carry the S&W 45c.

  • starting to look like a news room nice!!!!!

  • Great video!!! very informing and helpful!

  • The thing I really like about the Glocks is even the compacts shoot just as well as the full size counterparts. I don't care much for the .45. For me it's all about the 9mm or the 10mm. The 9mm kills just as well as anything else, I can control it one handed and moving at angles. The 10mm is the perfect balance of power and velocity and IMO a much better round than the .45. While I think it has it's place for some, is an outdated caliber. I just wish people/companies would embrace it more.

  • this channel just gets better sweet lookin back drop

  • G36 for me,best carry gun due to the thinner design less rounds but i think 6+1 is more than enought. But i like the other 2 also like to have a 21.I like all golcks like to have them all.

  • i have the glock 21sf but its my home defense weapon but i do conceal carry with it sometimes it's a big gun but with the right holster conceal carry is not a problem

  • I've got a 36 and love it. Slightly narrower than the 21 and 30, otherwise same dimensions as 30. Mag only holds 6 rounds though, and no rail. Shoots great!

  • I like them both...but why get a compact 30 and add a big light on it?...It kind of defeats the purpose of small carry guns imo...just my 2 cents Tom...Not cutting you down, just kind of curious...Thanks for the vid

  • Can a .45 glock be converted into a .460 rowland?

  • Thumbs up for the 'better half'. Anyone can talk about guns - but not all guys can get the 'better half' to help out.

  • I like them both Tom...and as Musashi I carry two weapons since I have two hands... I have trained and practiced thus.. At times I carry either a pair of G23s or under different circumstances carry a G30 and G21 with spare mags for the G21 which the G30 can use ! GREAT work Tom keep up the good work bro ! Love your videos, they're chock full of info and your presentation style is fantastic !!!

  • Ithink the 30 so my wife and daughters could shot it also , thanks good info ...mountainman

  • Glock 30 but I will lost the crimson trace laser. I think it bulks up the frame too much for my taste. I think the crimson trace fits to 21 better considering its more of an open carry/home defense gun in my opinion. Great video tom.

  • I agree.. The 21 for home, range and open carry. The 30 for ccw. Ive had a G21 with a TRL-1 in my nightstand for years. For me the Crimson grips make the big Glock grips way too thick. Much rather have a light / laser on the rail. Great vid!

  • I think the g30 is the perfect all around package you got concealablity, and big bore power of the .45acp power. And your right glock's will eat anything you put through them and come back for seconds. Thanks Tom another great and informative video.

  • I love .40

  • i dont know i would go with the inbetween model ...but i dont think they make one in 45acp ...so got to go with the subcompact and a magazine extention ...just seems to fit more jobs

  • I like the G 30. If you are at the range and don't like the short grip for lengthy shooting session you can use extended magazines. Thanks for another informative video.

  • Not a big fan of glocks....I think XDM is a better gun, but I'm always going to watch every vid you put out as they are always informative.

  • Great video Tom as always. I would get the glock 30 and add the best laser which in my opinion is the lasermax internal guide rod laser. I have one on my glock 19 and it is awesome. No adjustments needed and will shoot within1-2 inches of POA. I shot mine @50feet range with the target moving @ me and stopped @ the 10 foot mark and I placed 14 shots dead center mass and one shot on the nipple.

Watch my video shooting it on my channel @ Gander Mtn Academy.

    Glock n Load,

    Mike

  • sweet set up

  • Great video. I prefer the 21 for everyday carry

  • Personally i like the 21 for the .45 acp round. Great comparison Tom. Thanks to you and your wife, my girlfriend would probably not be as supportive, lol.

  • @glynn72 Both the 30 & 21 are .45acp.

  • @CD318 I 'm aware of that, I like the larger frame for the .45 acp compared to the smaller frame 30.

  • @CD318 That was kinda the whole point to this video, the difference between these two Glocks chambered in the .45 acp round, I guess I could have said it differently, but I have very large hands and prefer the larger grip and frame of the 21.

  • I like your shirt will you have shirts on your website?

  • ★★★★★

  • I'm thinking about buying Glock 21. The problem is, .45 ACP is 1-2 $ per round here in Croatia. That sucks. I can get it for 0,60 $ per shoot if i buy it from my gun club, but that still sucks. Is ammo alot cheaper in America?

  • great video Tom!

  • Glock 21 all day... Just a question....can you do a vid. On your carry holsters and how you carry..

  • glock 30 all day

  • Not big on the Glocks, but that's just me. All that aside, awesome video Tom! I like how you're getting more personal with your videos. Definitely nice to see the man behind the voice. Thank you for the info sir!

  • Can you hold up a G21 next to a full size 1911? I carry a full size 1911 as my EDC, just wondering if the G21 would work the same way for me. Although the few times I tried a Glock I didn't like them, same goes for all the plastic guns I've tried including a plastic frame 1911.

  • Glock 20 Is my top glock.

  • great video boss!

  • Glock 33 is where it's at... sub compact .357 sig

  • @TGsasuke5655 I want one... Tom

  • @weaponseducation whos tom

  • I hate those crimson trace lasers for the Glock I really think they short changed Glock when it came to the design. I will say that the only thing that laser design has going for it is the fact that when you are holding the gun and don't want the laser to be seen all you need to do is keep your trigger finger up a little higher. Using this technique in your home to clear is great. This feature is great but the Glock 30, 21, etc... are very thick and need no help to be thicker by a added laser.

  • @chrizzis77 I agree... Tom

  • The 30 SF is amazing! Good review. Thanks!

  • Is the 21 concealable, or is it too large to be practical as a concealed carry weapon?

  • @inverseactuality It is pretty big... The 30 is small. Look at the measurements closely. Tom

  • My local PD carries the G21SF...

  • @rabbivj Perfect for LEO's Thanks. Tom

  • 30...I like the concealable factor with the option of using the 21 magazines. Either way its hard to go wrong with GLOCK.

  • @KneebarBuffet Exactly... Tom

  • Sweet video...def would go with the Glock 30!

  • @HybridGunz Thanks for taking the time to give your input.

  • @january231991 Thanks you,The Springfield Xdm is also a great choice... Tom

  • Hey Tom if I were to choose I would choose the21 because in Illinois you can't conceal so home protection is what it would be used for

  • @LUISITO60007 Great point, thanks

  • 21.....good comparison...thanks
