How did you connect it to your computer? I want to connect a gutted Furby to my old internet router and make a router robot with blinking eyes and that tells you if the internet signal is bad but.... I don't know where to start.

The reason why one PIC is dedicated to motor control is because it constantly checks what position the motor is in and stops and reverses it if necessary. This means the main controller can process other things.
