  • This is extremely awesome! Nice one mate.

  • That's a funny script. ;-)

  • Reality is Plastic is the best book and DVD ever! Anthony is the man!

  • I can not hypnotise at all. Can I still buy this and learn from it? And will it really work will I be able to go up to someone and do this?

  • lmao fantastic, dunno what you'd do with a heck of a lot of cucumbers, but when you think about it, that can be done with anything xDD

  • all of these guys are good actors.

  • Cool...I would love to do this...lol.

  • Hey Ashley,

good to hear from you. Catch you at Blackpool next year.

    Anthony

  • the book rocks !!!

just going out and doing it is so awesome !!!!

one of my favorite bits of blackpool was meting him and geting put under !!!

  • The protective centers of your mind are in your subconscious. No one will allow him or herself to be raped or harmed while in trance. When in trance you can still hear and perceive

People can be manipulated by pushing the limits, But people can also be manipulated while fully conscious.

  • Lmao. Not a man of science eh? Ever considered picking up a Medical/Psychology Scientific Journal? Clearly not.

  • thi is exactly the reason why only a few people know this:)

  • Maybe he's had the guy under earlier? Dunno, but if you did read the book you might know. ;)

It's possible to rape people without using hypnosis too. Fortunately the vast majority of men don't.

  • Ye well sol90 maybe if you read his book you might realise that he put him under a few hours back and Made him respond to the word sleep

  • Hi Pinoyjustin,

thanks for buying my book. This clip uses pre show hypnosis as explained in the book. The cucumber induction is a reinduction. The 'Denzel' routine does not. So one way is to simply use a handshake induction, unnanounced. Consent is not required for hypnosis it just makes it easier sometimes. Thats how I would do it anyway.

    Anthony

  • I'd go as far as saying this is my favorite video on youtube!

  • what induction is this in your book, iv got it but don't know what induction this one is.

and you'll be seeing me in october in your derby course.

    keep it up

  • HI,

great to hear you will be on the course in October. This routine is outlined in full. Basically it was a Set Piece but used them as inductions. Then a handshake and a post hypnotic suggestion for reinduction. What you see in the video is that reinduction.

    Ant

  • Thanks adypunk. This routine is outlined in full in the book.

Stay in touch with any questions.

    Anthony

  • I've just ordered the book! Looking forward to giving it a read, the courses also look good. More videos please :)

  • This looks incredibly interesting, to be honest, I don't have much faith in this working, I've tried reading some other sources on hypnotics and they never worked.

However, looking at all the positive reviews, I'll check this out.

  • Yes it is possible. As long as they have some mental concept template. This often leads to a bit of an over the top expression of what they think it is to be drunk/stoned/on coke etc.

    Ant

  • Thank you for your answer.

  • Is it possible for someone to feel the effects of a drug even though they never tried it? I guess the subconscious will imagine everything based on what it knows about it, but can the effects be as strong and alike?

  • i cant stop laughing cool, i'm learning hypnosis but i'm a bit shit. :D

  • Thanks. Keep at it. Confidence grows and success follows.

    Anthony

  • Brilliant! Bloody BRILLIANT!

  • "Right down to the toes this time" ....Funny!!!

  • Thanks for taking the time. My book is on hypnosis not magic.

    Anthony

  • the book is on hypnosis you idiot..

milton erickson did it all before derren brown so derren is a copycat too ;)

  • what are you talking about? just because he does similar tricks or maybe the exact same thing (doesn't really matter)there were tons of people before Brown, you need to do more research first.

  • All of the routines mentioned ...paying with paper, walk into a shop and leave without paying and so on are covered, along with how to practice them.

On youtube NLPers have an irritating habit of over-analysing Derren Brown's material and attributing it all to NLP (usually getting it so wrong as well).

Notice that none of these NLPers post videos of themselves doing the same routines.

Anthony Jacquin has credibility to me as he does on film all the routines you mention.

  • I don't like the durgs stuff, but that was pretty funny watching you try to carry the massive sack of cucumbers. =P

  • truth96130 I would suggest you to go to your bookshop and start reading some fine books on hypnosis. Maybe then you could argue. It just gets me mad to see ignorant people behaving in such an arrogant way.

I'll tell you what you don't even need to go out. Just google the words "Instant induction" and find it out by yourself. btw, Ant, NICE WORK.

  • I am a cashier. If a man walked up to me and just started telling me (I am falling to sleep) I think I would tell (what any other normal human would tell him). Can I help you ser? Are you ok ser? Why are you telling me that I am falling too sleep ser? Do I look tired ser? Did you find every thing you needed ser. The last thing I or any normal human being is going to do is suddenly close there eyes and start falling to sleep.

  • Perhaps Il try walking up to a person and just telling them you are drifting to sleep and see if they suddenly stop and start falling too sleep. We both know that walking up to someone and telling them (your falling too sleep will not instantly stop them and make them begin to fall asleep) If you think Im wrong just try it out on someone. They will most likely just look at you and think (man this guys strange) and carry about there business.

  • I was wondering. When the person was tolled (you are drifting too sleep) Is the person forced to listen to them? What if the sales clerk just ignores you and carries on with there work? Dos the sales clerk even have a choice in the matter? Are the words so alluring that no one can resist them? Just because someone walks up too me and says

(you are drifting too sleep), dos not mean I will listen to a word there saying. Its not going to suddenly send me into a sleepy state.

  • I have never heard of rapid inductions, but now I know what it is. I dont believe in them. To me there like tall tails. I think the person being hypmotized is always faking it. I guess Il never believe untile I see it for my self.

  • I suspect if you saw it for yourself you still would not believe it. Some people get their head round it by experiencing it themselves. Others by hypnotizing others.

You seem to be intrigued or interested enough to keep commenting. My advice is either go to a stage hypnosis show and volunteer. Or learn hypnosis.

    Best of luck

    Anthony

  • O come on now. Just think about it for one minute, no matter how persuasive you are, just walking up so someone and saying sleep will not suddenly make them close there eyes and stop moving. Hypnosis takes time and concentration. I do have questions about the hypnosis side of it if it is real, however any person with normal intelligence is going to find it hard to believe. So tell me how dos it work?

  • The hypnotizing part does not have to be long and drawn out. There are better ways of learning how it works than on this thread.

I have explained this routine in detail on keystothemind blog and in my book.

    Ant

  • ever heard of rapid inductions?

  • Thats a funny act indeed. Who in there right mind would actually listen to a guy that just walks up to them and tells them to sleep. Unless its an act of corse.

  • Thanks. I can assure you the guy is a market trader having a busy friday afternoon, not an actor. If you have questions about the hypnosis side of it let me know.

    Ant

  • Oh my god, induced with a cucumber. That's crazy.

I think I'm gonna carry a cucumber around with me just to induce people!

    Feist

  • Cheers Jon - credit to you as the routine was inspired by your stage version outlined in 'Deeper and Deeper'

    Anthony

  • you're outstanding, does your book still include the dvd? I can definately see you having your own television show.

  • I've read your posts on Uncommon Knowledge. If I pm you question could you answer them?

  • Of course email or PM me. I am always happy to answer good questions.

    Anthony

  • Bloody funny Ant

  • Great routine.

  • Good to see you're still at it Ant. Only those who bother to learn can understand. Nice one.

  • The technique is flipping outlined in the book, i got it, why guess? lol

  • there was no prep. work with this guy at all (before the camera starts rolling)? I find it hard to believe that there was actually no pre-induction work with this guy...

  • there was a lot of pre induction work, its all in the book, although i am sure that with some slight variations it can be done cold. (see ants more recent vid on how to get free drinks ;)
