@MM2Ghost I was thinking the same thing just as I read your comment. There is nothing I would enjoy more than sitting down with this man & picking his brain. I love listening to him talk... so smart, so funny, and so very informed.
"Whatever you put out, you can only control your intention. You can't control it's perception or how people perceive it." - This is actually a universal law
Maddow says she thinks Code Pink is 12 ladies, whereas half of Indiana identifies with the Tea Party. For one thing, Code Pink has several charters across the nation, including like 6 national offices (including in DC). It's more than 12 ladies.
The most important thing one must understand before watching this interview is that Rachel Maddow, professional mainstream media news reporter, has never interviewed a sitting United States President, and Jon Stewart, Mr. Funnyman and comedian, has.
Jon Stewart saying his job is not as serious as Maddow's is terribly disingenuous, as he so loves saying.
@highmountain0 So high that you cannot think. On top of of a mountain so you can't see. Seriously though, it's very silly and very hurtful to say such things. Truly : What you're saying is false.
unfortunately there is no conflict in american politics, they are all on the same team. Dems and repubs both want huge tyrannical government they just bicker over how and in which method do they achieve this end, which they have. There is no difference between maddow and hannity, they both want huge government and both ignore the constitution, yet for entertainment purposes they focus on nothingness differences about nothing.
I absolutely love Rachel to death, but Jon nailed her with that "delegitimize" comment. His point was spot on. I'm still a huge fan, Rachel, but take his advice on that one. Fox News may be more "evil" or something, but both networks have the same problem.
@appleofmyeye Mine too. One of the best interviews Rachel has conducted on this show right up there with Richard Cohen (the ex-gay doctor) and anytime she has Dan Rather on the program. The Interview as it is called is the best part of The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC. She is doing a great job in which she does on this program and I am very proud of her.
@carwashes That was the best part of the interview I agree. Stewart is right there is a difference in what he Seinfeld, George Carlin, and Woody Allen and what Rachel, Chris, Keith and Lawrence do at MSNBC.
@carwashes LOL...i always think the same thing every time i watch this interview. And I don't think any less of Maddow because her having the tables turned is showing that yes, she is an intelligent journalist but she knows she has faults. and like another person said on here, the whole "delegitimize" comment that jon made really got the wheels turning in her head. :)
I love Rachel, she is a very smart and always talks with knowledge. Nonetheless, this is like Bill O'Reilly on the View, that, was a joke. I still believe there are more interesting people to Interview such as Bill Maher, even though he can be more controversial, he is smart and talks directly, not goes around and around, I couldnt watch this entire interview, I was so confused by Jon Stewart, I needed a glass of wine!!
I find John Stewart as a very funny comedian NOT a politician, his responses are not articulated right even though his use of words makes him sound intelligent, they have no meaning. Nonetheless, I cant understand why Rachel would entertain this kind of nonsense interview. No one takes him seriously at best. This discussion goes on and on forever and he doesnt know whether he is coming or going. He should stick to his funny show!!
@javierchacone I don't disagree with you entirely, but you have to admit that his criticism towards the media - although I don't agree with him entirely either - is necessary today. With the massa-media that confronts us day after day, it is very important to include some reflection on media in the media. And if that debate is fuelled by the voice of Jon Stewart, then this discussion does have its purpose, and deserves more coverage than just "his funny show".
@irishfreak6 No jon Stewart will not be president. Because precisely he is intelligent, he will not get himself enmeshed into the political world but he will always be the bystander, influencing and impacting people throught his rationality and genius. This is much better than being a president and being sullied for it.
What is this thing I have with some lesbians. She is so cool, I'd buy her into marrying me.

@YawnGod Stewart's "job" is to make people laugh 4 nights a week. So yeah, it's not as serious as a career in actual journalism.
