I like emphasizing that as long as you commit to some kind of tuck, even if it's not that tight, you WON'T land on your head, today trying to clean up my back flips I jumped up and tucked incredibly late ( not on purpose, I'm still learning, did my first successful backflip tuesday) and still got around enough to land on my feet and catch myself on my hands. Scared my friend but I didn't injure myself. It helps a lot to have a spotter to get you over the fear of being upside down.
@tangeri7 hey i was wondering if u think i could do a backflip cuz i can do one on a trampoline with out jumping pretty easy actually sometimes i over rotate but take a look at this vid i do a backflip without jumping at 1:12 i would really like your feedback
@laxhard823 Dude you definitely got that tuck down. I think you got everything but the experience. Just remember try it somewhere soft. maybe have your friend in that video spot you. go onto youtube to find a spotters tutorial. Other than that just remember to always commit. You definitely can do it.
Awesome vid man, really reassuring hearing such detailed info from someone who clearly spent a lot of time working on it and faced all the problems that we likely will. Thanks a lot, I can't wait to try this. By the way, with the back hand spring (or is it sprang?) how likely is it you'll hurt your fingers? That's my biggest concern, not getting it just right and bending all my fingers too far backwards.
@VanguardDragon I think its spring but I never fixed it when i oral speak it haha. if u check out my back hand spring video ud first wanna do a catwalk. you honestly won't have a problem hurting your fingers because if you really think about it ud have to be bending at a 45 degree angle toward the ground. Just make sure when ur upside down look for the ground and keep your hands straight! (very important) it'll feel like you did a handstand except the momentum will force ur legs to kick over
Everything you say seems rational, the 'tricks' you teach seem very good! I learnt to backflip on an awesome trampoline yesterday, gonna learn on the ground very soon!

The first time I tried doing a back flip I bailed when I was leaning all the way back and ended up landing on my ass.
