@sequoiaj16 Hey, I'm finally doing the transition without the big chop for the second time around! and as you mention, you have to research! I love the changes of my hair, with the different textures and so on. I'm only 6 months in but I find my natural easier to deal with than my relax hair:-) It's fun, I haven't used any weaves or braids yet, just alot of two strand of flat twists, straw curls, and rods sets,,,,it actually helps in blending your two texture hair....HOPES THIS MOTIVATES YOU!

@sequoiaj16 I went about a year before cutting my straight ends off. I regretted doing that. In my opinion, it's best to go ahead and start cutting away. Especially if you're gonna wear wigs, sew-ins, etc any way, because I ended up cutting some of my growth as well once I did do the big chop and got it shaped up... That's just my personal opinion, but everyone has different experiences. Good Luck!

How do you keep your braids from getting frizzy? Everytime I get braids they get frizzy after about a week. Of course it could be that I wash my hair once a week. Do you still wash your hair with the braids in? I know some pple can go a while without washing their hair.
