  • That V8 was getting it's ass handed to regardless of driver... To be fair, Panspeed is almost as fast as the Cyber EVO...

  • I hate how people say the v8s are better what makes them better they are two different cars one is for racing the other is for beating time two different cars people get it into your heads

  • c'mon people, stop the arguing...we need V8's. we love the sound, plus we need something to use as a anchor to stop our boats drifting away! lol

  • the problem for the v8sc is the weight and the tyre size. The rules dictate this in v8sc so to go from a small full slick to a semi slick is a big step backwards. V8supercars are hugely impressive when you look at how fast they are considering the specs. And i own two rx7s if you think im biased.

  • To be fair you can see the v8 driver wasn't giving it his all. If you like at in car camera's from the Main series supercars you will see the difference in throttle application, gear changes and brakes.

  • OMG I love rice fuck the v8

  • i run a time attack evo 6.5 makinen, and being honest the V8 supercar would have far superior reliability compared to the small 2.0 or 2.3 litre evo's running huge boost. they're good for a few laps and then a break but stick it in a long 50 lap race with a V8 supercar and the evo would die before 20 laps, theyre running on the edge and are highly strung but not reliable

  • WE SHOULD STOP BAGING THINGS OUT AND START TALKING POSITIVE ABOUT THE EVENT.

IF WE ALL DID THIS THEN WE WOULD HAVE A LOT MORE EVENTS TO WATCH AND ENJOY .

IF ALL WENT WELL IN THIS THEORY WE MIGHT JUST GET IT IN 3D TO WATCH AT HOME !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Im a V8 supercar fan...

BUT The jap cars are in a class of there own.. I'd bet most of them spend more time and money on R&D then our V8 supercars do. The Japs are the ones to beat at time attack and circuit racing... as proved here.

And quit bitching about what if, could or should have happened. Throw the slicks on the pan speed and see it go then....

    :D

  • gotta love the rice :D

  • great effort by the others

    fast yes

    reliable no

a V8 supercar will run the whole bathurst weekend on an engine and be able to do another

the wtac cars might make 10laps on an engine

that said the V8 was infact a 6, and detuned from its original output as it couldnt get any power down

as far as the wtac cars go, well still slower than a go kart around the creek LOL

  • @notsosmartnow

ha a V8 fan pulling the old reliability card :P

judging from what i've seen these cars are built for a all round package they're not running all out Drag engines, nothing wrong with these cars reliability

good to see the V8 out having a go

but the track favours light weight cars with a few high speed corners, no shame

how the hell is a 6 going to keep up with a turbo rotor lol

    unless u mean it was a 6ltr V8 with 650+hp

  • @notsosmartnow man it must suck to be as retarded and bias as you, the only people that think rotor's arnt reliable are spastics who don't no anything about them. And I guess the rx7's that dominated 24 hour races for years must have had a "reliable v8" in them. Awesome work crying about Jap cars coming over and beating your v8 supertaxi's lap records on there 1st lap with semi slicks, Not full slicks Game set match fuckhead

  • @notsosmartnow That wasn't the Supercar from the Time Attack. That was just some stock footage of a real V8 Supercar. You can hear it clearly.

Don't forget guys that the V8 cars a lot heavier AND way undertired.

Not to take anything away from the Jap cars. The top ones were very professional indeed. Amazing times, but also be aware that some of these guys were running 45psi. Not built for endurance. You can be that the R spec rubber wasn't 'stock' stuff either....

  • @333pg333 Actually that V8 supercar onboard was from the wtac, look at the flags on the pits. Though this video goes to show how well developed time attack cars are, especially considering this was their first time out at the creek. Can't wait till next years event.

  • Funnily enough though jetpilot, Mal was only off the Supercar record by 10 seconds, but on treaded tyres, so he was doing pretty well

  • i dont know why Mal wasent pushing harder. Also short shifting might suggest he didnthave much fuel either. Tail was all over the shop too. Not a bed effort tho.

  • Panspeed car is awesome. Mal knows his way around there too in the old girl.

  • Damn.. That RX-7 was flying! was that the Donut King ex v8 supercar?

  • Jap Vs Ausies : 1-0 :)

  • @Nikolas4g63 Go the jappers, they should race the Panspeed 7 in the V8 Supercars for one season.

  • @MAZ11V well do you think if the japs wannted to run that car for one season they couldnt do it?????? hahahaha

This event was a single time attack they came they scored and left!

  • @Nikolas4g63 I mean i would like to see the Panspeed RX7 smash the V8 Stupidcars, i love the rotas got a S2 RX7 :-)

  • @MAZ11V the sport would die, realizing how slow v8 supercars are
