  • why people are quickly? is almost going to see the truth. soooooooon

  • fuckers, "oh we will believe in evolution now...cause it seems to be the truth..so we'll just say it was already mentioned in the quran..so ya WE WIN again"

annoying as muslim people. take one reject the other one. both can not be the truth.

  • Muslims, especially those living in Islamic countries, are some of the most brainwahsed people on earth.

  • To believe in Evolution and Allah/Qur'an/Bible at the same time is a 100% proof of ones ignorance of at least one of theme.

  • muslims believe adam and eve had no mother and father but in real live "adam and eve" probably had quite similar genes to their PARENTS....

  • If we found out we evolved from an alien's fecal matter, I bet the Quran would also says this...Islam is an imaginary mental condition that just re-confirms it's own reality.

  • 0:53 That guy has the wrong religion. He should join the Church of Emacs, as he looks more like a Free Software hacker than anything else.

  • The Lord of the Rings isn't incompatible with evolution, then it must be the true word of a divine creator.

  • Give islam a piece of rope and it will insist on hanging itself.

  • I never thought the moment would come so soon. Here we are with some "kill the infidel" kind of people saying evolution can be found in the primitive koran. LOL.. what do you know they just evolve their position or else they will die quick, they know it :)

  • @TheIslammiracle

Actually upon more research it is from verse 14.

ahih International: While He has created you in stages?

Pickthall: When He created you by (divers) stages?

Yusuf Ali: "'Seeing that it is He that has created you in diverse stages?

Shakir: And indeed He has created you through various grades:

Muhammad Sarwar: who has created you in several stages?

  • @TheIslammiracle

I cannot be bothered to trawl the jokebook that is the Qur'an to check, but a quick google search provided me with,

"And He has created you in different stages and different forms (71:15) "

I remember reading it SLGHTLY differently, but I am saying that this certainly agrees more than disagress with the theory of evolution.

But it is so ambiguous that it could mean anything and I hope Muslims don't latch onto this and act like Islam revealed evolution.

  • They'll never just admit it...

  • What's up with the fucking beards??

  • Monkeys. Saying something is logically possible or compatible (instead of arguing that something is likely) is like throwing a snack to my dog.

  • After years of raging against islam, I now only feel sorry for them....so sorry for men who wont let the necessary influence of feminine power temper their society and look so stupid as a result and so sorry for women in denial, who believe they have respect and freedom when they really are only treated worse than livestock....please let their children find freedom and true morality.

  • Interesting. If they keep going in this direction they will ultimately arrive at saying:

'The Quran says there is no god.'

  • did I hear that correctly, "if evolution is true then it was already dicsussed in to Koran", ~rolls eye~

  • @TheWingnuterer The Quran is unfalsifiable. Therefore it must be from God :-p

  • @TheWingnuterer But if evolution is wrong the koran also proves it. Ain't that wonderful?

  • It's too bad that whole Adam fellow being the first man and him being constructed from clay is in the Quran.

  • This is what buggering me as a person, whether or not religion is compatible with science, that is another context, but, if there is an all knowing creator that love to write books, why didn't he write an all-knowing book at the first place, instead of obscured books scattered all over the place and are very highly bound by time and space? To my humble knowledge, there is a species who loves to do that, and it's called human...

  • Hahaha, Microevolution for muslims.

  • Adam and Eve myth is actually an allegory, made by the Assyrians to express the human condition. How it got here, that, I don't know.

  • I'd have enjoyed this video far more if you got rid of that awful music in the "background", than hinders hearing the speakers

  • Music is too loud. Good vid though. Keep them coming.

  • What all religions always miss all the time is that the practice of highlighting certain of their holy book's verses to demonstrate a claim is methodologically suspect. They are treating bound individual documents as an entire work and then cross-referencing them to their benefit, basically cherry-picking across the whole of a collected work and failing to see why their approach is problematic.

  • Look religion is evolving. The Muslims that I've talked to about this believe in a limited form of evolution that does not include the evolution of humans. I show them the evidence for human evolution and common descent its like I'm talking to someone with anosognosia. Almost a complete waste of time.

  • How do they explain the idea of Adam and Eve in the Quran? They believe that Allah created Adam and Eve and everyone is descendent from them, just like the Bible.

  • I could be wrong, but isn't the clip at 1:40 from a meeting which the members of Muslim audience disagreed with the speaker and either threatened or attacked him?

  • @SpookyFan Yes it is.

  • I see this as a good thing, i'd much rather have a religious person bend over backwards to make their beliefs match the facts than for them to ignore the facts in order to maintain their beliefs even if they don't accept all of it. Changing views one fact at a time ;)

  • @9CrystalDragon2 Well said! I'd much rather they made room for scientific fact as well, and the amount of squirming involved is irrelevant. I think highlighting these people exist and have some influence is very encouraging, not a reason to damn them, as I think the uploader intended.

  • HOG SH!T !

  • I've discussed this with so-called progressive muslims who claim to accept evolution - except when it comes to homo sapiens, we were of course created as we are now ;-)

  • What's more, even when a religion admits that its scriptures were written in an absurd manner, they still swear by them. For instance, the Mormon church actually admits that Joseph Smith stuck his face in a hat to translate Egyptian texts. They also admit that after the discovery of the Rosetta Stone and the subsequent ability to read Heiroglyphics, that the translation is entirely wrong. They apologize it away as being that the translation is more just a transcription of Moroni's words to Smith

  • Facepalm*

  • I got this book gathering dust in the loft. It's called "The Bitch" by Jackie Collins, and do you know what? You'll never guess! It doesn't contradict evolution! Must be a fucking miracle. Surely, you can't argue with that!

  • This is so beautiful, when they realize that they can not beat science and reality, they just modify their opinion to fit it.

The is classic "If you can't beat them, join them"

But if i look at the bright side, my Muslim friends will stop bombarding with their arguments of how evolution is a lie fabricated by the jews.

  • Glad I left.... Islam is just like every other man-made religion, although what isn't man-made when religion is involved.

  • I took a shit this afternoon that didn't contradict evolution. Is that supposed to be impressive?

  • I believe you should have added in the video parts when they deny evolution or at least if Adam+Eve is in the Koran insert that passage.it seems to me incomplete like that Since i dunno if Adam_Eve is in the Koran the video only conveinces me about muslims believing in evolution.

By the way,it is amazing how so called former "christian"" converts have such flare. Shows how powerfull Islams influence is upon ppl that badly need to believe and hold onto something

  • I still don't believe it as I've come this far and then they turn around and say: but humans were created by Allah and all we see are the changes within the species.

  • @StopSpamming1

Its only a matter of generations before the likes of Harun yahya are claiming that Islam proved evolution but those 'evil atheistic darwinistic freemasons' kept it hidden from society. I can already imagine the articles..

  • @TheIslammiracle

You know I remember a verse in the Qur'an that goes something like, "But do not you think that man was made gradually, over many stages" - this is a very rough paraphrase, as I read it about three years ago.

So I agree that evolution is compatible with Islam. BUT, I don't want to hear Muslims saying, "evolution was already mentioned" and that we first "learned about evolution" in the Qur'an.

  • @HoneyIEducatedTheWeb Evolution is obviously the next miracle claim?

  • @HoneyIEducatedTheWeb You agree that evolution is compatible with Islam because you claim to remember talk of "stages"? Seems like odd logic to me, given that the Qur'an also says things like

"We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape..." (15:26)

as opposed to "Man evolved from earlier organisms". It's not an accident that all earlier muslims have believed in special creation specifically because of their understanding of the Qur'an.

  • @HoneyIEducatedTheWeb But I'm sure you're right that muslims can find verses that can be reinterpreted as whatever it is they want it to say. There's no reason why they would not, given the state of modern apologetics. The proper reply to that is to point at the disagreements with traditional interpretation, and even hadith if possible, and then throw the argument from error in their face.

  • @HoneyIEducatedTheWeb Why should we believe they have anything truthful to say about reality when they themselves admit that earlier attempts at interpreting the Qur'an as saying useful things about reality have resulted in embarrassing worldviews that were flat out wrong? We could also ask questions about why they claim all earlier muslims, maybe even including Mohammed, were really unbelievers and why Allah could fail so miserably in communicating simple ideas.

  • @HoneyIEducatedTheWeb I mean... we have biology textbooks that decidedly succeed at communicating how biology works without claims of divine revelation and within tight budgets. Why is Allah significantly worse, given omnipotence?

  • @Gnomefro

Yeah I am just trying to make others aware of what their next moves could be.

I can't remember my thought process which led me to think of my original comment, but I imagine that was it.

As for, "you were fashioned from clay"...most Muslims I know (stress whom I know) don't take this literally (I know, I know, they pick and choose what is convenient). So I just think it's good that my fellow atheists are aware of the evolution argument.

  • @TheIslammiracle well these morons know evolution rips islam apart, coz evolution proves beyond doubt thr was no adam and eve, means islamic creation myth and first humans as claimed by quran is false, but it has a further implication muslims believe dat adam was d first prophet of god who supposedly allah also taught to do hajj(lol....),now if adam never existed dat means thr was no 1st prophet & no 1st revelation as claimed by islam wich proves islam is false, evolution destroys pisslam

  • @TheIslammiracle is it allowed to kill civilians in the quran? How did muhammed conquer mecca?

  • @StopSpamming1 you are a fucken idiot to make s such comment, you need to go back to school to take your biology classes and then fly to an arabic country learn sone arabic then and maybe you will be qualified to debate muslims

  • @julecezar213

If you are a Muslim, there is an applicable sentence:

Be modest in thy bearing and subdue thy voice. In harshest of all voices is the voice of the ass. 31:19

Now what comment is causing you such discomfort?

  • Well its nice some muslims don't reject evolution, right?

  • this 'theistic evolution' is not much different of creationism. They merely believe in micro-evolution which they might call 'progressive creationism' and completely deny macro-evolution. This is the only way they can maintain the Adam and Eve myth because if they believed in macro-evolution they would have to accept that mankind evolved from a lesser intelligent life form and therefore, the 'original sin' was not possible.

  • @ZZzzzzzWhat There is no original sin in Islam, but still they deny evolution because of Adam and Eve myth..

  • @baznian Doesn't Islam share the Adam and Eve myth? If so, how can there not be the original sin in the Q'ran?

  • @ZZzzzzzWhat Yeah they share it partitialy. They skiped the original sin. There's no anything such as that. They say everybody is born pure..

  • @baznian who does? In the hadith it says only two people were not touched by Satan, that was Jesus and Mary. Everyone born is touched by Satan which means they are born into sin.

  • @baznian ...even Muhammad was born with sin.

  • @baznian Al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 55, Number 641

    Narrated Said bin Al-Musaiyab:

Abu Huraira said, "I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'There is none born among the off-spring of Adam, but Satan touches it. A child therefore, cries loudly at the time of birth because of the touch of Satan, except Jesus and his mother Mary..."

So in Islam every child born in the world is touched by "sin" or Satan.

  • @baznian Sahih Muslim, Book 030, Number 5838

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: The satan touches every son of Adam on the day when his mother gives birth to him with the exception of Mary and her son

The children of Adam are all human beings or mankind.

  • @00ismaeL001 Touched by satan.. hmm that doesnt mean its a sin.. anyway I don't even care I'm an atheist. It's totally irrelevant to me.

  • @baznian They share it the same way but only with different words. The "Fall of mankind" concept is still the same.

    Quran 2:30-39 Al-Baqara

  • Science will never convince the true fundies. Even if the Abrahamic religions were finally crushed under their own outdated dogmas, newer, more compatible religions would rise to take their place. The most we can hope for is to evolve into a culture where (like much of western Europe) it's increasingly unpopular to evangelize religious beliefs and/or incorporate them into politics.

My ego can bear the thought of people believing in gods, it can't tolerate them telling me what to do, though.

  • @nemo3590

excellent and agreed to your last sentence

  • 'theres nothing in principle that says we can't believe in that.'

Why do you need to even believe in anything? No-one has to believe that 1+1=2, or has to believe in dinosaurs, other galaxies, or any other academic field of observational and evidence based study. Why does religion promote belief when reality never requires belief, only acceptance of the best evidence or refraining from acceptance.

  • I wish it would all just die out. the Uk Seems happy to be 70% atheist at the last outset and yet everyone feels they need to revision their religions to try to fit in with science to try to say that see there is science in mormonisum or see there is science in christianity now islam is trying this..why lower themselves. either stand up for the material as presented or shut up about the material.

  • Does this mean reading Origin of Species doesn't come with an Execution order anymore.

  • True, fuck em up
