I'm convinced that the image of Jesus' wrist[s] as depicted ion the Shroud of Turin clearly show part of the Crucifixion nail sticking up from the top of the right wrist - not the actual nail which was impaled there, but the cloth captured an image of that. So, if the Shroud were a forgery, then it would have to be an extremely clever and astute and cunning forgery; so I tend to think that the Turin shroud is indeed authentic.
Of course they are going to test only a patch, The material is destroyed in the process of carbon dating. You're choosing to not see the facts for what they are. That is what is meant by having faith or no faith. You want to see a miracle for yourself but really you probably still wouldn't believe, that is the type of person you are. There are hard core scientist that set out to proove that all these miracle were fruad and they ended up becoming christians.
One other comment: The man in the vid says that if you have faith, you don't need the shroud and if you don't have faith it won't convince you. That is a flawed analogy in my opinion. Lots of people would love to be proven wrong so they could also believe. I'm one of them! I have been intensely researching for over 10 years with very little help from Christians because most judge me the same way. A person who is only half convinced will only be half a believer. I don't do anything half way.
I'm not sure it proves the resurrection, but the carbon 14 test does not convince me that the shroud is only 12 to 1400 years old. Matter of fact, they've discovered that what they tested, was a "patch" on the shroud. One person studying it discovered "interweaving" on the ends of some of the strands. So he tested further and discovered he was right. It was repaired after the fire around 1200 AD and they simply tested a patch.
