They filmed that in Milwaukee, about 45 mins south of where I am. They eventually tore down County Stadium, where it was filmed, but the original diamond is still there as a Little League park.  The pitcher in that final scene, Willie Mueller, is from here and was a pitcher in the Brewers system. Bob Uecker is still the radio announcer for the Brewers. Not sure why they didn't film it in Cleveland. Heard differing stories-trouble with unions, cheaper to film here etc. Regardless, it rocks.
