  • Very beautiful!!!

  • What a splendid piece of music, thank you for uploading!!

  • what year was this recording and/or cd? sounds a bit faster for klemperer, unless it was in his early career

  • @Qoind This was recorded in 1956, Klemperer had been conducting for over 50 years. Hardly "early", is it? And it's the slowest performance I've heard from him, live versions captured with the Concertgebouw and the RIAS are up to one minute faster. They're all good (though not great, this one isn't either). Krips and Harnoncourt left more expressively shaped recordings, both with the Concertgebouw.

  • Mozart composed this simphony in 1773, when he was only 17 years old.... That's a miracle!

  • Thank you for uploading this file. Faster is better. Klemperer's trick is inside in this movement. It is great for me.

  • @makita5p

  • Thanks for uploading this. I wish there're more Klemperer on youtube, he and Karl Bohm are the best interpreters of Mozart.

  • They may be if it wasn't for Ferenc Fricsay, Igor Markevitch, Fritz Busch, Erich Kleiber or Josef Krips.
