I'm from Utica, NY and most of my life I heard people brag about Dinosaur.
Honestly I'm not a huge fan of "Wet" style BBQ. Meaning I don't like BBQ sauce. I'm a dry rub only guy.
Slaw is my dipping sauce lol. Maybe vinegar.
Anyway, the food aside the sauce is good if you like BBQ sauce. I can see why this is one of the best BBQ places in the US. Just personally its not for me.
Stage is getting more than Soros backing in Troy, he's getting millions in relief and funds from a municipality that can barely keep its libraries open. A super-rich business owner backed by one of the richest men in the world can't even pay his own way in Troy. I wish for him what he deserves.
We have been going there for over 15 years, bot NO MORE. This place is owned by George Soros, a multi-billionaire currency speculator & stock investor, one of the principal architects of America's economic demise. Do your country a favor and boycott John Stage and his restaurants.
Wow I can't see a scumbag like Soros getting involved with Dinosaur. I mean the guy is so elitist you think he wouldn't want anything to do with Dinosaur. I read that Stage wants to open his next location in Troy and probably wants Soros's financial backing.
Sounds good I saw someone post once that Dinosaur would do well in the Central Ave section of Albany where there are a lot of motorcycle shops. I think there already is a BBQ place there Smoky Bones or something, but Dino is much better than SB and could bury them in no time.
when they were opening i owned a pizza shop not to far from them & we would call them & order a chicken dinner & they would order a pizza so we'd just switch... great times
Nice job. We live just west of Syracuse (Baldwinsville) and the Dinosaur Bar B Que is one of our favorite places to go. The food is fantastic, the bartenders are fast, and the wait staff is just plain cool. Oh, and thank you, Sheila. Your comments
What a wonderful project! gives great profile to your lovely area. For sure this will draw attention to your area and food of course. A fall trip is recommended - colors galore, great food and extremely hospitalbe and friendly people. More power to your project.

At the Harlem branch I have seen a few of the far left asshole waiters wear Che Guevara Tshirts not the wisest thing in a biker bar.

I miss that place so much!!
The Syracuse spot is better than the Rochester joint.
I would never mind waiting and drinking beer outside just to get in!
soooo kick ass!!!
