Overall, you recreated this song beautifully. However, the higher notes sound a bit airy. I've never played that particular ocarina, so I don't know if it's possible to change that sound, but if you can, try to control your breath to eliminate the airiness, it well sound much better. But I totally understand that sometimes it is simply out of one's control.

@KrushaBowsa thnx for your input, this ocarina was an early model and it was naturally airy, but Songbird has improved and updated their molds so it make much better sounds check them out at songbirdocarina

@aznpnoikoji You don't have to tell me about Songbird, I have their seven-hole OoT! It's an amazing ocarina, but I too have problems with the airiness of the highest notes.

I love this ocarina. I have one. Sadly it's cracked. I had to seal it up with clear nail polish. Maybe one day I'll buy another one.

it depends..you could either be blowing too hard (it'll sound too sharp or airy) ...or too soft (it'll sound flat) in the case of higher notes there are tutorials found on Docjazz4 and i believe Kissing88 about the acute bend or u can visit your local Ocarina forums and check it out there..usually when dealing with higher notes (on 12 hole altos or Tenor) you can use the acute bend where you tilt your head down as you play the note..this will allow i to blow harder and not sound as airy

yea i knoe that technique acute bend..the songbird just has a tendency to be REALLY airy its just how it is..the thing is this ocarina isn't really loud so i had to play close to the mic so u can really hear the air..thnx for the thought tho!

I don't think its supposed to have that airy sound lol ;p, think you're supposed to blow harder to make the sound more crisp on those higher notes.
