If Mac is hit hard enough, he turns pink (tired) and cannot punch and has a hard time dodging, so when he's pink, there isn't much you can do...

I've found that every three punches, he alternates his defense. A smooth pattern will have him downed shortly.

Where were the uppercuts and high face punches? Joe has a pattern where you body shot, he blocks, then you face punch him. He also has a two star combo where you can get a double powered uppercut from it.

actually, he does. After you beat the minor circuit, there is a small cutscene of him preparing for the major circuit. In the cutscene, the trainer steals his bike.
