  • True...VH1's "Behind the Music" did a show on KISS Alive (first one in 75') and Eddie Kramer (producer/engineer) of both Alive albums said it was almost live. Hard for this band to stand in one spot on stage and lay down a perfect track live. Vocal and guitar overdubs...ya...the crowd is a tape loop. Same chic screams the same scream every 38 seconds appearantly on Alive one.

  • XD Recorded in an empty warehouse, with an audience overdub

  • i cant possibly fathom the mind set of peple who said that this band was so bad, satanic, etc... with a song in there list of many like this one, and beth?! gene and the blood is like there only intimidating act they put on :P not to say everything else is short of musical genius that is...

  • Recorded during a sound check, crowd noise added later.

  • This was actually just a raw recording with a crowd overdub

  • @Geoffteyyyyyyy I want to say Tears Are Falling was performed on the Revenge tour in 1992; I know it was played on the HITS tour in 1990. But I think Kiss wanted to continue their route toward returning to being heavier in '92.

  • A big favorite.

  • this song was recorded in an empty warehouse with a audience overdub

  • KISS should be playing this song live NOW!

  • how can this awesome song have only 8,040 views?

  • @Geoffteyyyyyyy I'll look for the live version that you've stated. Thanks 4 the info. I had a hunch this was from a soundcheck, along w/ Tomorrow And Tonight.

And on Alive III, I think IWMFY and I Still Love You were also soundcheck songs, too.

  • This is a great song, w/o question. But I dont think the guys ever did this song live, if Im correct. I think this was recorded during a soundcheck, and then added to the A-II soundtrack. I think there were fan who stated this song was never played live when A-II came out toward the end of 1977.

  • Peter's voice is perfect on this song.

  • Buti...lmfao...am i not correct that you woulds only hear a chick saying this song was kewl...coupled with some other band's "Pre-Ballad"..*ouch*...and it (at best)..deflected from KISS's ramped up image of being "Macho"...actually to come to think of it it does have the same chord progression as "Y.M.C.A"...so i temporarily retract that idea.

  • Well even when i was too young to understand recording i felt that this song was way too Prissie....we would argue for hours that it was Peter Criss singing that it was Pauls Stanleys Baby composition etc etc...and like Brandy from the Looking Glass...the song had an attitude that could only exist on the radio

  • this song was recorded live at my elementary school where are you people getting your information?

  • little known fact, this verison was recorded in an empty warehouse with an audiance dubbed in in the background

  • knew taht :/

it's still pretty cool though :D

  • i don't know why his comment was marked down when it's true, the band has said it, peter said it, goddamn wikipedia said it.

  • According to the booklet with the Alive box set, this was recorded at a soundcheck, but yes, with the audience dubbed in.

  • they recorded it live... in a recording studio in front of a sea of people (music manager, audio techs, sound board guys)

  • I wish they still did this song live

  • They virtually NEVER played this song live, even when it was a hit on the charts.

  • This is the best version of this song!!!

  • true!

  • Love this song.

  • my new and improved KISS channel

    from,

    Tony Aznar
