this happens when the pedal is pressed down those things stop the strings from vibrating after you release the key but if you press the pedal they continue vibrating -> the sound continues even if you release the key for a certain time
But if there doesn't have to be a pianist there beacause it a version and not an Interpretation. Yes, you are partly correct, I should not have called it a version, but I am sure you got my point. All I said was that I liked whatever you posted and that you just need to fix the title up. Seriously, of all things, I did not expect that reply from you.
I would just love to play this piece. I think I could move my fingers/hands quickly enough to do the work justice. However, this video makes it look like there are some huge stretches in the piece that could potentially damage my hands. Maybe I should wait a few years. Does anyone know how much harder this is than Maple Leaf Rag?
Haha lol yeah, much much much much harder if I think i know what Maple Leaf Rag you're talking about. If its the one found in the faber books then you're probably around grade 2 to 3 and shouldn't even attempt this piece for another 6 years at least, well wait until you can play ALL your scales at 176 and you have done Chopin's etude Op.25 No.9 The Octave one, because the hardest part technically is the continuous left hand octave which can easily hurt you if your technique isnt

This may be a bit to ask, but can anyone download this onto their computer and slow it down tremendously then post another video? It is my dream to learn how to play this song.
I fail to see how this helps anyone play better other than if people do not know how to sight read and they need this to verify they are playing the correct notes.
hahaha, it would be funny cuz you can't even follow the notes since the song is played at full speed. So if you don't know how to sightread, you really cannot follow this either without a GREAT deal of effort. lol =)
Do you have some kind of "sound" reader or something? And...somehow measure the tone of each key ? And automatically convert it to this program? or do you painstakingly go note by note and code it in. Like.. What process did you use, if you don't mind my asking, to encode this, what software, etc... I program in Java and thought this is extraordinarily neat!!
Attention to people: I have the music sheet to this song, so if any of you would like it reply to this, give me your e-mail address and ill mail it to you.
Actually, he's downloading MIDI sequences from a website that has very realistic MIDIs, And even live recordings that was converted into MIDI sequence.
the animation can still be incorrect, i was just stating in my opinion on it. i played this piece on my upright and the intro octaves are played further, im guessing its possibly the grand has more keys? by w/e its pointless asking anyways
gl playing that

The composition is a little bit wired but brilliant and gives someone pleasure :)
Chopin is the best!

I'm still polishing this polonaise off. It's a monster of a piece, but a great learning experience.
It's neat to see the keys without hands over them.

I can play this, among other things, i think i am pretty good, i am only 14

Besides that foot pedal having a stroke, I rather like this video. It would be a shame if you stopped making these, please continue.

I like this version. Only the title is wrong. It should be Polonaise 'Opus ' 53 or Polonaise 'No. 6' - Chopin

@mrugankpatankar this is not a version, do you see a pianist?

technically good enough. Keeping the left hand quiet while moving it that fast makes it like twice as hard. haha good luck :)

I only use this a reference, and I strongly agree this is pretty hard to follow if one didn't know how to sightread.

This video is quite good. The sound is pretty good for a MIDI recording. The animation itself is very well rendered and instructive somehow.
However, as a MIDI, the rhythm is often wrong and lacks "human flow".
greob 2 years ago
I'm working on this piece - very, very slowly. lol
Do you own all these pianos? Do play also? The sound is GREAT! I also have a player that I can record on. And when I play it back, ew. lol
Very nice. What's the make?

@alec234tar it is custom software and the notes are parsed from MIDI as they contain the key information already. :)

@TheLovelyPiano I also want to learn this song but im awful at reading music and its so hard for me to learn it off the sheet.

nah the midid is to mechanical it has no feeling its not that nice sounding as when a person plays it even if they make mistakes.
But on the bright side the animation is awesome at first I though it was from the sims thats how good it is.

It's impossibble for a MIDI to be wrong, unless it is written that way (the wrong way). But this is correct.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
It is wrong, as it does not take the most vital part of music into account. (feeling)...
This is shit.
estagonandfire 3 years ago
That is because it is a MIDI file. A computer can't generate feeling.

Whilst I normally praise the Liszt Polonaise no.2, I actually quite like this piece. However, for me, the Liszt Polonaise no.2 is the best polonaise.
