I saw this serial as a reissue at the movies (or maybe on TV) when I was 8 or 9 or so. That would be some time around 1954, when Saturday movies still had not only a serial, but cartoons, two features and a newsreel. I had forgotten the name of it but the images of the actor, his twang of a voice, his long pants and bare chest, and his coil of rope to escape danger (this clip was not the only time, as I recall) are all deeply etched in my young-boy memory, even now so many decades afterward.

A great series of four books,and a VERY rare and expensive to buy video! Wish the entire film was posted on line! Considered by many as one of the ten best serials ever done.
