I love Anita Pallenberg, but I think that Jane Fonda's disloyalty to America's troops in Vietnam was and is unforgivable. Anyway, Robert Rodriguez has a cinematic remake of Barbarella in the works for release some time next year. I can't wait till it hits the theaters!
oh no, not another bloody remake. it wont work, you cant rip-off and then reproduce originality, and the time has passed, the world is a different place. they never work, and what usually happens is that they bury the original so no-one can see it again. just try to find the original nutty professor for example. why cant they do something creative and original themselves? the film indiustry is now run by accountants, that explains why there is so much recycled gargage around.
I actually think that "Barbarella" would be a very easy movie to remake and improve upon, as the script for the 1968 movie wasn't very true to Jean-Claude Forest's original comic strip, and the kind of special effects needed to make the setting convincing didn't exist in 1968.
How can you improve on Jane & Anita though ; absolute Godesses ! Personally, i think as well old effects are BETTER e.g. Die Hard 4 is CRAP as it looks almost a false & fake computer game compared to real explosions etc.
