  • where do they usually fight in? do they fight in stadiums in Myanmar?

like in thailand there is lumpinee stadium, is it different in Myanmar?

  • joder cada round no se acaba hasta que uno de los 2 queda ko ??

jaja en 2 peleas estas muerto !!

  • Damn these guys waste no time in the clinch like some fighters in the muay thai bouts.

  • Definitely not healthy to get KO'd so many times in 1 fight. tough guys here.

  • il encaisse en criss c thailandais !

  • I wish i had tickets to those fights

  • are they kids or adults?

  • Very hard fighters.

  • This is much better to watch than UFC. Real action here. No safedancing in the ring and no boring grappling here!

  • @alriha77 a boring grappler would rape ether of these guys EASILY....so maybe its not more exciting, but its more real. So have fun in fantasy world.

  • Not nearly as refined as some of the other martial arts out there, even muay thai...and that's saying something. Literally no rechambers to their kicks and it's a ton of wreckless flailing of limbs. Effective in a brawl like this? Perhaps, but a smart way to figh against an intellegent fighter? Not at all.

  • @xxFairestxx Put an intellegent fighter into a barknuckle fight and lets see how smart he fights.

  • @Punkten81 Lol what? One who doesn't fight with his mind as well as with his body is not a good fighter. He will eventually be beaten.

  • @xxFairestxx I can write random things aswell. He who does not have leggs cannot walk on them.

You state that there is no "finess" in their fighting style. Well, as i said. When fightning barknuckle you will have finess for maybe 1-2 minutes, untill you find out "This frecking does hurt... alot!"

  • @Punkten81 fitness? Read both my posts...I didn't say that. Be honest...are you in any martial arts? By that I mean, 5-10+ years of experience. Not a few months as a child or teenager. I'm expecting you to tell me about your 10 different black belts....here we go lol.

  • @xxFairestxx "F i n e s s" is the word of the day. You said the lack rechamber. I say, the finess goes out the door when fighting barknuckle. And i have a blue belt in kyokushin, nothing fancy.

  • @Punkten81 Alright, thank you for the honesty. I'm not saying this style is bad, I don't study it so I don't know. All I am saying however, is the people in this video lack rechambers, and they are flailing their body parts. My point being, that a dedicated martial artist that trains with FORMAL brutality, is going to most likely destroy somebody without proper skill. Flailing your limbs triggers telegraphing, and allows a skilled opponent to see what's coming a long time before it makes

  • @xxFairestxx watch lethwei vs thai champs lethwei boys clean up tough cookies

  • @Punkten81 contact. So, bottom line...flailing your limbs, no matter how brutally, is a WEAKNESS. It is not a strength. They may do fine in some "barknuckle brawl" if the other person is not trained...but against somebody trained skillfully, they will most likely lose. This style in combo with better control may be awesome. Maybe learn this in combo with another style.

  • @xxFairestxx "You said they..." missed an *y*

  • @Punkten81 ima boxer, ive been boxing for 6 years and i have 25 fights ,20 wins 5 losses,, im from a pretty rough area, and ive been in alotta scraps, in the bar and on the street, and ive always gave em a solid jab and straight right to the chin and they would drop , theres been the few exceptions where i had to give them an extra few punches but other then that , a person who isnt trained doesnt do very well lol , unless its just cuz im a boxer and actually trained hard and put in the work lol

  • @jordanthekiller99 Sounds like your quite talented :)

Though i dubt that you way the 40kg/90 pounds that theese guys seem to weigh. You dont really get the same mass and therefore power behind the punch (correct me if im wrong).

If you met a equaly skilled boxer with the same weight, would you still fight as well? That is the big question :)

  • @jordanthekiller99 you wouldnt last five minutes in lethwei with someone your weight this is a way of life to them not just a sport

  • Do they truly use head butts in these matches, or only in self-defense situations?

  • FUCK AMERICA

  • can someone tell me how many of them die each year

  • Downward Elbow strike at 5:55, that move is my personal favorite , should be used more as transgression from defense to offensive mode

  • This is way more badass than Muay6 Thai

  • @ANZACJugger0 its ashame it's not as popular as it!

  • seems to me the no gloves puts a hole in the thai grapple...

  • real great fighting style no gloves tough guys respect to them.

  • the guy in red was hella awesome, he kept getting up and i didn't see him show any sign of weakness or decadence

  • at 2:45 did the guy have a Metallica shirt on?

  • @tetsuyanamamura haha yeah, most young people know metallica in Burma.

  • Burmese kickboxing.... Muay thai retarded cousin. jk seems very similar. Looks brawling

  • @chavios u have to win by ko in burmese kickboxing(lethwei). that's y they brawl and is more exciting

  • this is the first video i ever saw on burmese boxing. fuck muay thai. lethwei comes closer to muay boran from which lethwei and muay thai came from in origin

  • that guys was like 'Come on i get u'.

  • nice

  • tough fighters

  • - also the jumping/flying elbow chop is a great weapon.

  • I love how vicious they are. It's perfect. To often you find Muay Thai Sport fighters being too conservative. One problem though is that they aren't utilize compact punches at the proper moments; the result is that more punches will be more easily slipped/ducked/weaved and can end up getting trapped behind the opponents head. Other than that sidekicks can be utilized at the right moments. Also a setup into a flying knee(s) with or without a simultaneous elbow strike(s) or punch(es) can be added-

  • @MuayBoranWarrior these guys are Burmese, so [generalisation alert] a fair bit smaller than Thais, hence the speed [and lack of real power] in the strikes compared to Muay Thai fighters.

  • @morphic2008 it depends on the fighter. Yan ghi aung is pretty tall and lone chaw is tall as well. saw nga man isnt that tall but he is very muscular. The burmese are better punches than thais and they also headbutt. But thais have better elbows, kicks, knees and are better at grappling

  • from 1:50 you can just see that the guy in blue is like, alright, Im pissed now. Hes going down.

  • looks like some crazy party where the same dude keeps passing out LOL.

No but seriously, these guys get paid almost nuttn, and they'll be brain dead by the age of 40, kinda sucks. Thats life for a true warrior tho.

  • wow like 3 knock outs in one fight? i don't understand

  • in lethwei fights the fighters are given a choice to continue after being knocked out

  • jebane zadziory

  • Respects. I like the "rural" ambiance in this match and no effort was made to make it cosmetic, which is a two thumbs up, just hope the dudes who put this show up are doin' ok! Lethwei does have a rep of being more brutal as a kickboxin' style compared to its East Asian counterparts no secrets there.

  • damn practically bare knuckled too.

  • VERY entertaining

  • Too bad white people aint got the stomach for this type of entertainment JKS :P you r a fucking massive cunt!! im whiter than your teeth and loving this shit!! jon wayne par would fist you for lunch you fat, pretencious homosexual!!

  • @anthraxchinwobble1

Jon wayne Par is breakfast for Ramon dekkers :)

  • I'm wondering how a professional boxer or an MMA fighter would do in these types of competiton

  • a pro boxer would get his dome opend, an mma fighter providing he had a muay thai style standup might to better

  • Fuck.

    These guys can take pain.

  • So strong, so violent ( for themselves too !^^)

  • Headbutts are legal right?

  • Yes they are

  • yes there legal how cool is that ?

  • LethWei and Burmese rules :D Muy-thai may beat Lethwei by Tony Jaa, but no1 shall beat LethWei except Tony Jaa.. :D I'm praticing it with a coach, used to do Lethwei, world champion until he lost, .. He had bad techniques, so he quit and training meh,.. the training hurts.. but no pain, no gain!! :D :D :D :D :D

  • You sounds like a joke...sorry wouldn't be offensive...

  • tony jaa is an actor

  • mma should have this rule not faqi ground fight

  • brzydka, brutalna , nierówna, chaotyczna walka.

  • oszalales? przy tak duzej ilosci dozwolonych taktyk i technik to to wyglada niesamowicie finezyjnie.

  • i think muay thai is a little more tactical.

  • Really? Muay Thai wears gloves. These guys just have on hand wraps and that's it.

  • Am pretty sure I read somewhere (maybe in "Black Belt" many years ago)that in Lethwei, whoever draws first blood wins, and once a fighter bleeds, the match is over. Anybody know whether that's correct?

  • wipe blood from face 3 times, is a loss. but now the rules are becomming standard in myanmar. its either a K.O. or if one fighter or the coach stops the fight and cant continue. 3 k.o's is considered a loss, you have 5 minutes recovery between each k.o. crazy stuff my friend.

  • Wild stuff. Thanks for the info. Oh, has there never been a move toward requiring boxing gloves? Guess not, huh?

  • no problem.ya there is alot of information, too much on the internet, various rules and regulations in each district. you should buy a dvd of the net if you can, I like this better than ufc.

and no gloves yet, im guessing at the most they will do is use the MMA style gloves. ufc and mma guys might stand a chance ,,,but not for long, since they can only stand etc. thats another thing though.

  • no, lethwei fighters always get cut and bleed and continue fighting. Sometimes the doctor might think the cut is too big and call the fight over, the same as in muay thai. But ive seen a fight live in Burma and one guy had blood dripping into his eyes and he was wiping it off and kept fighting

  • thats because of what lethwei ideology is. like unite the body and mind, lethwei is all about courage and heart. nothing matters more then that.

  • exactly

  • If u get "cut" u can wipe urself up to 3 times before u r declared loser.

  • Man i Am Proud To Be Karen

  • are Karen people generally strong because there is this guy who is sick STRONG in my school. Out of all of us Chin people, only one guy can match his strength, like in arm wrestling. And his younger brother is also very strong. Their forearms are like 10.5 inches around no kidding.

  • Are the counts extra long or something? In a western match they would have called it at least 4 times. Lots of heart for the guy in the red

  • in traditional burmese boxing the rules r 3 knockouts and its over...so if ur knocked out u get woken up and keep fighting....my dad is burmese...makes me proud

  • they're not short men, they're really big 3rd graders.

  • these guys went rambo on each other. that's all i pretty much have to say

  • its lethwei its pretty similar to muay thai but its not from thailand

  • do u read the title? it says burmese kickboxing lethwei. How can something that says burmese kickboxing mean thai kickboxing? Yes, burmese kickboxing(lethwei) and muay thai is similiar, but in lethwei, u dont wear gloves, headbutts and throws are allowed, and only a knockout wins the fight

  • OMG loved the taunt & counter smash at 2:18 .. just amazing!

  • lol,no gloves.....wtf this is mofo

  • Hahahah they may be short but they are deadly

  • agree

  • They look soo short

  • Those guys are tough as freaking nails.

If anybody has ever fought...which I doubt some of these douchebags have..you get worn out very quickly.

..and to get back up after you've been beaten to the ground 2 or 3 times is just amazing. These guys are not human.

  • yes they are they're just human weapons

  • of course they are fucking humans

    they just trained a lot

  • /facepalm

    you're a moron.

  • The guy in blue is nasty!! Iron chin plus big power! Very nice indeed! Is that guy a champion because he just fought three different guys in one sitting!

  • ha ha lol

  • dont give me thumbs down for this, for i am jsut giving my opinion, but is it me or is this style of Lethwei art look very sloppy. Though, they are tough i gotta say :D

  • no they are pretty sloppy, but though as nails

  • some forms of Burmese fighting doesn't focus too much on form but more on inflicting as much damage to the opponent as possible. I'm not sure what style this one is but it looks quite similar to Muay Thai. Still sloppy or not they're entertaining.

  • This is man to man real fight, watch Hollywood action movies or Muay Tahi kickboxing for entertainment.

  • well in a real fight, things get sloppy

  • That's true, when your hit your mind only registers two things, get in or get out.

  • hardcore dudes man

  • Why don't you try living in a country with a brutal military junta and the environment they've created...you wouldn't be very big yourself either. But these guys train intensely all day every day. Size doesn't matter as much if they're living and breathing deadly techniques day in and day out

  • that 50 pound guy would probably knock you the fuck out in a kick boxing contest.

  • yeah cuz you're a real fighter not some punk on the internet.

  • haha good call

  • mais a par les main encordé ya pa de différence avec le muay thai?

  • I enjoyed this video. I am a competitive fighter in Thai Boxing and MMA and it takes a LOT of hard work and dedication no mater what size you are. Not to mention the balls to get out there and fight in front of a crowd. So my hats off to both. Good hits by blue and a lot of heart from red.

  • street fight

  • just looks like a street brawl

  • Those are some vicious leg kicks!

  • They look like midgets!!!

  • though guys, creds to the red guy it takes guts to stand and take a beating like that and get up so many times, the blue guy(winner) was an expectionally good fighter, great job by both of them

  • the blue guys has knocked out the other guy in second round! What happened after that round?

  • That was a 2 mins time out called by red.

  • karen fighter always beat burmese...

  • you are so stupid shorty karen ...this man is not burmese . he is mon boxer ...now burmese beat all karen ....you will be die after..you stay in jungle ....ha ha ha.

  • @soe722218

    please be patient..

    we all are brothers..

    think like brotherly

  • you are so stupid ....you never larned in school ....this man is mon boxer....not burmese ...my burmese army beat you all karen bullshit . stay away to burmese ....ok.

  • thate ma faw net, saw own myint ga karen :D

Karen lo sar:, burma lo ma kywar: net det haha

  • na pwa ga nyaw hpoh ahh?

  • @bolufreedom

why do u distinguish among local ethnic?

We never think about whoever keran or burmese, we support all local letwhei boxers.

  • that was some hardcore shit

  • estos chicos son dinamita

  • now thats how a propa fights done

  • very little guys, flyweights?

  • shut up u di ck! no matter how big u are its about stamina and skills. u wouldnt knw that. all u knw is wind milling and thats when u get picked off in the face.

  • The Burmese look tough! Good Scrap! Just curious is the loser okay?

  • good Job karen
