@gsh73la Not weird at all, we didn't grow up during the oppression of physical and emotional segregation. I was literally taught as a child by teachers and adults that stereotypes and racism were wrong. I've noticed that my parents have a tendency to be closet bigots, "the puerto ricans are taking over America, the Jews own Hollywood, Liberals are fags, etc..."
My parents aren't exactly ultra conservative, they're just a product of their generation. They grew up in a black and white world.

@livnfree930 They did not. SOME people tried to protest it, not ALL. What can we do? There is no "cause" for us to fight for. There is no "unjust war" where young men are being FORCED to fight and die for their country. It was mostly African Americans who fought for their own rights, people from the SILENT gen (born in the late 20s-early 40s) who fought for civil rights. The mont bus boycotts started when boomers weren't even 9 years old. The Fair Deal act from Truman was in the 50s.

They were the followers of the silent generation-the real people who fought for civil rights and social liberalism. Just take a look at the country now, most of these people are in charge and they don't know what the hell they're doing. They can't stop arguing for two seconds to even make a coherent decision. Society is virtually inactive because of this, tell when we last truly built something?

He was only 13 when 9/11 happened, so he's taking responsibility for the inaction of the baby boomer generation to prevent global terrorism and oppression from spreading. We've known about Al Qaeda since the 80s and yet didn't act until we were attacked? What nonsense is this? I am self employed, but If I spoke to my boss like that, I wouldn't have a job to support you. Normally, my boss pays me, I'm not working to support him. We would have a contract where I agree to perform services for money to assist him in his business. No one forced me into it, unlike social security tax.

My parents spent 18000 dollars on a new driveway, but I have to "get a job, take out loans, apply for scholarships and grants." Now I have no problem supporting myself and in fact wouldn't feel as if I accomplished anything if I didn't, However in the economy we live in, it simply isn't a reality for me to be able to even find a job.

THANK YOU! I'm 26 with an MBA and the Boomers have kept me out of work for 18 months. I have to live with my parents because back when I was working, my boomer boss paid me $30,000 less than the fair market value of my position.
