for me (this doesn't apply to everybody) i just prefer the sounds on the kp2 when compared with the kp3 especially, the layout on the kp2 is easier to understand etc... I will admit that the kp3 has some pretty cool synth sounds but the bpm and patterns on the kp2 are just so pure and awesome. just my opinion though :)

Hey i need some help. So i just got my kaoss pad 2, and ive read the directions but does anybody know how i can connect it to my computer and mix songs on my itunes library? Do i have to have a software? Im eventually going to put it in my guitar but i want to try it out. Thanks

@pugNdrum Well if you wanted to use it as an amp you could plug it in and use the Distortion effect, but then you minus well just get an amp cuz the KP3 is bout $200 more than an amp, but the KP2 wouldn't sound as good and would cost about as much as an amp. Hope this helped.

You can connect them through your mixer effects slot and use your cue button to select which deck you want to manipulate if you have a 4 channel behringer or pioneer or something to that effect, if not then you can get a cable that will split your deck signals and do it that way. There are many ways to set it up.

It was a floor model from Guitar Center so the pad is scratched up, but it works perfectly. I'll check it out out my brothers tomorrow and if it still works okay we'll talk about a price or whatever, it should work okay still though because I know he hasn't used it much since I gave it to him.

quick question, if you were using this whilst producing on fruityloops, could you have it assigned to one specific instrument at a time? so say the effect you wanted to use would just be used on the bassline or whatever?
