  • Why steal a car if it can be downloaded?

  • I might support sopa and pipa.. its a hot topic because someone can say that its a 1st constitutional issue but the US is headed toward a knowledge based economy and this will protect us from people stealing a newly precious assets by countries abroad.. There are people who get this we're just not in an outrage so therefore we're not posting like crazy... but im not completely sold just yet.. dont hold me to this posting i still need to do some reading

  • When it comes to piracy, we already have laws, and with the Megaupload fiasco, they proved that we don't NEED sopa necessarily - and what good would such broadly defined powers be, ESPECIALLY when under control not of responsible people, but corporations that hav been caught misusing what they already have?

  • theft involves one man's gain from another's loss. With piracy, there is no loss- just the absence of gain for the individual owning the property. If they're making antipiracy ads they should at least recognize this fact...

  • Downloading isn't stealing. The goverment is tho. Taking ur rights to go on the internet however u want

  • EPIC

  • yes indeed what a tradgey it would be if we downloaded and millionare actors, celebrities, producers cant buy islands for their children. seriously fuck this anti-piracy propaganda bullshit!

  • I will pirate anything from major corporations like Microsoft, adobe, and activision. But pirating from local/small businesses is an ass move. And piracy isn't actually stealing, nobody is loosing money, they are loosing potential money, but nothing real. They COULD have made this much money, but they didn't.

  • "you wouldnt steal a car".. i would if i could download it ..

  • @oddlysmoked yeah i've got to admit i dont think i'd be able to resist that kind of temptation. anyhow this anti-piracy stuff is pure bullshit. it seriously dosent matter if people download for the most part most companies will still have plenty of money to spare. they have obscene amounts of money that no one person should even be allowed to have in the first place in my opinion. its kind of like how south park put it, if you pirate celebrities wont be able to afford islands for their kids.

  • @darkslayerryu thats true man, proper, i see so many genius comments on youtube, urs being one of them, I'm actually suprised i have a comment as good as urs replied to me, i envy you sir :) ( no sarcasm, real talk)

  • i wouldnt download a car...

  • Much like.

  • Why does the government allow companies like the MPAA to sue and WIN against DVDShrink? That doesn't make sense, because under the Fair Use Act, we are allowed a single copy of our movies as a backup. So why are little programs like DVDShrink allowed to be run out of business when they are providing a legal service to us movie fans? Clearly, something dirty is going on, and my guess is that it's the lobbyists.

  • Why bother making films and games and music if it can just be pirated?

  • @RoranI23: why bother performing outdoors if it can be bootlegged?

  • Very Gen Z. Thank you for just reoverscrewing the Gen AD - analogue and digital mixup generation.

  • To be honest, I wish people would stop calling it "piracy". That's what they want you to call it. It sounds like it's evil.

If the anti cannabis media found a way to make people call cannabis "evil tobacco", or some stupid shit, and it caught on, I'd be damned if that's what I would start calling it, regardless.

  • Let me ask you this.. if I were to steal a car, make a copy of it, then share it with another person, would there be any protests against it? Absolutely not. Want to know why the government is taking action against software piracy? Because the multi-billion dollar corporations that create such software are paying millions in taxes per year. The company loses = the government doesn't get as much. Ultimately, this renders the government greedy and selfish assholes. Fuck the government! Go pirates

  • I pirated Garry's Mod and Portal. Loved them, so bought them because they were so awesome.

  • i felt like i was robbed when i purchased a pc game at the store that turned out to suck that i then could not return due to the software policy on pc games.

so much better to simply pirate the game and then go buy a real version if its good. especially nowadays since devs seem to care more about money than making a quality game so most of them suck.

  • how about quit being poor and start buying shit, if you work hard to make something, don't just give it away, there's a reason we arnt communists

  • @MegaUnoriginal Some of us can't stop being poor. Have you seen our fucked up economy lately? Quit bitching about us pirates and grow some balls ya dickweed...

  • @ForgotteMemories101

sure you can, just write a book or try out for a movie, its that simple or if you are not able to do it, theres a thing called social darwinism

  • The problem with the circular logic anti piracy pundits employ is that its deceptive. When you steal a car you are depriving someone who took the time to buy that car of their property. It is their physical property because they traded something for it. Artist who claim losses are banking on the idea that you would have bought it had it not been for piracy. But its a dubious position at best. Not all people who get a copy would of bought it in the 1st place. So how can you recoup a negative?

  • this is more of a promotion to download! lol

  • download is sharing, sharing is good - so what's the fucking problem?

  • Funny thing -- I've published six books, not that anyone has ever heard of them. If someone distributes my PDF or other electronic version, I'm the one who gets hurt, because I'm self-published. Even sharing the book with friends kinda stinks. But again, it's because it's only me, not MegaPublisher International. So thanks, really, for making the distinction. Support your local author; screw the over-published giants.

  • @SpudCommonTater

U said it yourself "not that anyone has ever heard of them". Why buy a book you haven't heard of? Meaby you should consider sharing your book for free or meaby a light version? ;-) Good luck and yes I feel sorry for the small publishers.

  • @Vejledanseren - I recommend a couple teaser chapters, Spud. That way, if we like what we read, we pay, and get the rest, and you make a living. If not, hey no harm done, perhaps your style doesn't suit them, and that's okay. Small publishers do need a forum for their work so we CAN hear of them and maybe they can be big and have lots of fans and what. A good book is a good book, no matter who publishes, but I wish the "little guy" didn't get screwed over it.

  • @Vejledanseren I agree, if nobody has really heard of his book then it would be better it were being publicaly and across the internet, that's how many people have gotten noticed.

  • @SpudCommonTater

Spudster.what are they ? Perhaps we HAVE heard of them. If not, perhaps we'd LIKE to.

  • @venttCo -- visit Amazon or B&N online and look for books by Tristan MacAvery. There may be as many as six, in very different categories. Horror novel ("Divine Intervention"), haunted house murder mystery ("Tea for Twenty'), and a few others. Thanks for the interest. *^_^*

  • @SpudCommonTater "I've published six books, not that anyone has ever heard of them."

If people have never heard of your work then they have no reason to want to support you. If I had pirated your book and found it useful or interesting I would continue to follow your work and support your endeavors. Even if I never gave you any money....would you rather have notability than obscurity?

  • @gyrfalcon -- I'd like to be able to stay alive long enough to write some more books. In these days, that requires cash, which could be provided by sales of books. If I'm a WalMart greeter at minimum wage, I'm not likely to have much energy left to write more books. Would you rather read more of my books, or have me starve to death in my nobility?

  • @SpudCommonTater - "I'd like to be able to stay alive long enough to write some more books. In these days, that requires cash, which could be provided by sales of books...Would you rather read more of my books, or have me starve to death in my nobility?"

Just because you like doing something, and people like that you do it, doesn't mean you can make money off of it. Plenty of authors are giving away their work for free. Maybe you should start a blog and try charging for people to read it...

  • @gyrfalcon "Just because you like doing something, and people like that you do it, doesn't mean you can make money off of it."

Curious observation. Rather goes against the "Do what you love and the money will follow" admonition, doesn't it? And since money is irrefutably required to live in this modern world, wouldn't it be best to do something you love, and that spreads that love, rather than doing what you hate, or what hurts others? Not sure I'm following your train of thought.

  • @SpudCommonTater...goes against the "Do what you love and the money will follow" admonition, doesn't it?"

Maybe I love to sleep at home in my bed... that doesn't mean I'll make money off of it. Maybe there is a fleeting chance I'll be creative and setup advertising and a webcam or some other sort of revenue generating scheme...but that's very difficult. Other people do what they love just because that's what they want to do...if money follows it's just a bonus. That's my train of thought.

  • @gyrfalcon Ever heard of smashwords [dot] com ? Give away samples; if people like what they read they will pay a small amount (no more than a few dollars) to read the rest of the story/content

  • @SpudCommonTater I would buy stuff from small artists like you, but I wouldn't buy it from someone who's swimming in money

  • @HumansAreGay -- First above all, thank you! Please, NO FLAME INTENDED, only a "thought experiment." On a *moral* basis, it's still theft; on an emotional basis, or even a practical daily basis, I'm with you -- some have all, while most have little. This is a polarizing issue, isn't it? Again, thank you, and here's hoping we find the best possible answer. You rock.

  • @SpudCommonTater @Vejledanseren I agree with the other guy, if nobody has really heard of your book then it would be better it were being publicaly and across the internet, that's how many people have gotten noticed. It would be a great idea to share it via p2p file sharing and ask for a box of seeds or a substantial amount of seeders.

  • I wouldn't steal a car...... but i would make an identical copy of it for my own use and i would allow my friends to make another copy for them,so we could all have cars.....

  • @aaalexoid lol i don't know why but that made me laugh :)

  • i'll download movies anyway. don't care if it's 'stealing' cuz it's not.

  • Well, they're right about one thing: I wouldn't steal a TV.....at least not the one in this ad. It's so old a pawn shop wouldn't take it if you gave it to them.

  • AWESOME VIDEO. How about making the admission 5 BUCKS? There'd be no reason to download then would there?

People are making as low as $5 an hour in awful jobs, only to have to pay $15 to watch a 90 minute film, and most films these days are junk.

    Who's stealing from who?

  • Wow, this clip was awesome! It should be added to the beginning of every pirated movie!

  • legality issues aside, making a habit of downloading music or movies for free is effectively boycotting the artists that create them.

  • @joesfph

boycotting would mean not listening to them, not talking about them, not seeing their live shows (where they make most of their money), and not buying associated merch.

no, it's much more like boycotting the record companies, and in most cases, that's just fine.

  • At last someone says what I've been thinking for years. In no other industry is copying (for reasons of non-profit) illegal.

The truth is that the burden should be on the film-maker to find a new way to make profit out of the industry, such as endorsements or advertising. If I was selling a product and people stopped buying, the burden is on ME to create a new product that people want to buy

  • any sane person would download a car if they could. if the ability to download a vehicle suddenly became available I'm positive millions would be downloaded in the first hour :P lol

  • Lambo here I come only 72TB to go

  • i get by from DLing pics of cars i want..

  • i do that too, but with chicks

  • i like this... u get 5 stars from me

  • It's not illegal if you don't get caught :P

  • That was a cute dog.

  • LOL

i would steal a car or a movie

  • so true , they exploit artists and sell propaganda

  • i dont sell any thing and i don't care if the rich are a little less rich

  • no i want to be a scientist who can watch movies not an actor who is full of shit.

  • How can you really brand downloading movies as theft? If I buy a DVD, and put it onto my computer, I should be able to make as many copies as I want, and if I would like to give/sell these copies, I should be allowed to do that to. No one person should hold rights to the movie, because without actors no one would be in it. Without a director it would never be presented well. Without a producer, it would never be made. And without an audience, no profit is made. Why should they get all the perks?

  • The only reason we can brand piracy as theft is because there are laws against it.

Are you guys messed up in the head, or what?

  • @crank636 While I'm not too sure about the US, I do know that in most of Europe you are indeed allowed to make 'a back-up copy' of most forms of media.

I suppose the argument though on this level would be that while you should be able to insure what you purchase (by making back-ups), by sharing the media you are preventing others from following your lead in actually making the same purchase. If this were to become common enough practice, people would cease purchasing movies/etc. altogether...

  • @crank636 It all comes down to whether a particular example of entertainment media is to be considered as an artistic piece (and therefore should be a form of FREE expression); or is it to be considered as a recreational product i.e. a product specifically designed with the purpose of entertainment at a price.

  • If you make a picture, it's your own creation and you own the rights. However, if the picture is of another person or private entity and you want to publish this photo, then you need the autorisation of the photographed person. In case of private photos of family and friends, this is taken for granted - but there are usually not published to the public either. But if a third person makes a copy of your photo without authorisation, then this is in fact theft! And copying movies is indeed theft!

  • i really like this video, it has a more say than piracy

  • 3. Whatever the popular belief is, just 148 out of the ~90,000 people working in the US film industry in 2007 has earned $ 1million or more. The average income was $94,000. If you are still capable of doing some math, guess what about half of them were earning who have to look for new work after each project?

    4. How many people do you think are willing to invest in a film, if they know that they make loss because criminal bastards (not rebels) like you steal their work??!!!

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha,you're funny

  • Though I believe also in free speech like you, a key requirement of free speech is noneheless to have actually something to say. Whether other people agree with it or not is secondary, BUT this "something" should at least take a broader socio-cultural perspective at the topic beyond the person's own ego-centric interests and convenience. This also involves looking at the broader future consequences of one's actions or ideological ideas.

However, our comment here is just childish and pointless!

  • A fantastically eloquent argument.

  • ... only 30% break even and rely like the other 70% on the sale of DVDs or LEGAL (= paid-for) downloads to recoup the costs. Nearly all indie-movies are depended on those sales that you destroy!

    2. Have you ever bothered to look at credits to see how many people work on a film? They need to be paid and live by struggling from one job to another, which you increasingly destroy with your criminal stupidity!

  • despite the fact that you're an ignorant douche,i'm still giving you thumbs up to even out the thumbs down, because i believe in free speech.

also more on the subject ,tell me how can someone own a set of 1's and 0's?

  • Firstly, ignorant means "not knowing something"! But as you haven't addressed any of the provided facts, who is actually the ignorant douche then? The one, who knows something about the industry that the freeloaders like to ignore, or the one, who just repeats mindlessly the same nonsensical arguments of the piracy-lobby??! Thus, as always when someone is confronted with the painful truth and doesn't have any real arguments to the contrary, call the other party that "spoils the party" with names

  • To answer you rhetoric question: Tell how can someone own food, cars or houses? Nature provides the plants, animals, land and resources, even if some people put their work into producing from them the very goods we want to have. Still, you go into the shop and pay for them, don't you?! Also, you are surely not very happy either when strangers permantly break into your house to take whatever they want just because it's there or take care your car for a spin without asking or paying for...

  • ... the used sprit you've paid for with your own money or the repairs for the damages they've caused. It's curious that the general altruism of free downloaders always stops when the logical consequences hurt their own pockets! Anyway, obviously nobody owns the 1s & 0s per se, but you own the rights for the specific constellation of 1s & 0s they have created through their imagination. Also, a film is not a code of 1s & 0s - only its digital packaging is. You buy the coke, not the bottle...

  • You shouldn't really go against what you think about something just to be different. If everyone else dislikes it and you dislike it also, you are perfectly allowed to add a thumbs down.

The fact you've done this deflects douchery onto you.

  • The ad like the arguments of the pro-piracy lobby are as stupid as it can get and only demonstrates what idiotic spongers you are! The Internet has really succeeded in dulling the minds of the masses (not TV, games or cinema)!!

    1. Revenues don't equal profits! Yes, the reported revenues of the film industry seem to be huge. but they also hide the huge costs and investment risks involved. An average film costs $15-50 million to produce. Only 10% are profitable at the box office, ...

  • i know its your own opinion... but you are wrong

  • in one way i agree and in another i don't. sharing art like music and films would be a great system but u have to take into account that money was put into these movies music games and there has to be a return on that

  • The layman was directly related to one of the defendents. Completely different situation.

  • FLAG videos that DON''T support Piracy!

  • that would be sensoring.... most constitutuions entrench the right to free speech

  • Yeah... coz that's a valid point...

  • 1. Once again, you blame the victims.

    2. Even when proved wrong, you throw insults at the victim.

    3. You actually think a judge that belongs to an anti-rape group is biased? Bias means knowing parties in the case. Judges arfe supposed to believe in law.

  • The rationalizations people use to make them feel good about themselves as they violate the rights of millions of workers is disgusting. If you were honest, you would admit your greed and that you just want our work for free and stop calling workers filthy names. You are like rapists that blame their victims.

  • its the same, If I borrow my movies out to a friend

Im just doing it over the internet, so i dont have to go over to him, in a nother country

    lol xD

  • 1. It is not sharing - it is styealing.

    2. How can you actually believe that someone borrowing a movie, not a copy, is the same as making 1,000,000 copies?

  • Like there have been said .. Piracy is not stealing .. its sharing .. Its how u see it. and most of the people see it, as Sharing.

So let it be sharing ?

is not the people who control our society today?

hha .. the people have spoken .. let it be legal

    lol ..

  • How the fuck would they know I wouldn't steal a car.... :D

  • Because their watching you!

Brain implants injected at birth... record your every thought, stored in a giant database.

Only way to get rid of them is to download pirated movies... disables them while you are seeding.

  • wtf lol

  • What with these economic crises and continually getting worse and when both national and total world system collapse occurs, more people people will be more concerned with food, water and other necessities. Struggling to make ends meet and even become poor and homeless. And even resort to piracy as well as make copies of their legally owned media resources and contents inorder to sell and barter for needful things. There will be a rise and growth of both black markets and bartering.

  • i'm downloading a car right now.. :)

  • lol xD

  • Why is it called piracy if it has nothing to do with pirates? That's why I hate this law. Stupid dummyheads.

  • The word piracy has referred to violation of intellectual property rights for 300 years.

  • The music makes my ears bleed.

  • I like this video, not perticularly because of the message but because of the style of the video. Its so unique you don't see effects like this much.

  • All pirates knows it's wrong.

They try to adapt law so it's suits them.

    Flame me.

  • bombright: look up stealing in the dictionary... stealing =/=sharing. according to 99% of humans, sharing is a good thing.

guess we were all criminals making mix tapes for each other back in the day too, huh?

  • if you want me to see your arguments you have to hit reply, and I have said before that it is not sharing but stealing, so I agree sharing=/= stealing

  • It's like Robin Hood ^-^

Taking from the over-greedy and sharing it with others to enjoy.

...and who doesn't like Robin Hood?

  • Umm ok so how many people think that the MPAA gives a shit about you or your financial situation If you don't want to download be our guest. Otherwise don't bitch to people trying to save themselves some money in these harsh economic times

  • What the name of the song???

  • Good one :DDDDD

  • i would steal a car...

  • It isn't stealing. As they say it is sharing. When a friend of yours buys a copy of the movie and he lends it to you, do you call it stealing. Your friend might have payed for it but you haven't. And lending a DVD is sociably acceptabel. Downloading has the same principal.

and if the artist want to earn money then they shouldn't ask 20 euro's for a cd. In these economically harsh times you can't expect that for every song you want to listen.

  • ever heard of Itunes? you can download any song you want for 1$ per song. Borrowing DVD's is not the same, when you borrow a dvd, your friend no longer has the DVD, when you file share you replicate and distribute a song. would you like to explain how stealing isn't wrong?

  • I heared of Itunes, it's a nice virus. That junkware isn't going on my computer. And when borrowing a dvd it is the same. Your friend sees the movie, and he hasn't payed for it. And it is the same with file sharing. You download the movie, watch it 1 time maybe 2 and then you delete it. Same thing.

And this is not stealing, it is sharing. When it comes to music, the artists shouldn't complain their music is being heared, ain't that what being a musician is all about?

  • The fact that you believe Itunes is a virus is HI-larious, and on the DVD sharing thing, the friend bought 1 copy af the movie, to distribute that 1 copy of the movie however he likes, by downloading it, the person is replicating and distributing something not his own, which is not okay. There are some artists who just want their music to be heard and gives it away for free, but the ones who don't have every right to sell it for what ever they like.

  • I don't like Itunes, it ruins your computer.

It is not replicating it is digitalising. And if he puts it on the net people share it. As i said it is the same thing as passing down a dvd. The only difference is that it goes massive on the internet.

"the person is replicating and distributing something not his own"

Technically the guy that bought the CD/DVD can copy it whatever he likes, because he bought it.

  • Comment removed

  • WTF? is that an insult? or are you trying to make an argument?

  • i likes to share :)

  • People always say, "But then the creator gets no money!" We're far too fixated on monetary gain, I create and post my creations online so that I can feel the great response you get. If I made a movie and some guy said "I downloaded your flick. It was great!" I would shake that man's hand and say "Why thank you very much. We need to stop focusing on money and start focusing on global community and culture.

  • If i was an artist I would happily let my fans download my music for free. After all, they always go on about how they just want the world to hear their music. They make enough from gigs and t.v ect. Some people are soo stupid, all the rich want is to get richer even if it means crushing the average joe.

  • Nice!

  • don't they realize that sharing is not the same thing as stealing!

a person goes out and buys a movie, he enjoys it, he uploads it to the internet for others to enjoy. Others do enjoy it, and tell their friends to go see it. their friends go see it and also enjoy it.

besides, online sharing is the same thing as just sharing. you go out and buy a movie. you watch it and then give it to a friend to watch. you just shared a movie. the only difference is that you didn't upload or download anything

  • Friigggg. this is like saying that if you buy 2 cans of pop, you can't give one to your friend because it's stealing. it is called file SHARING for a reason.

  • If a musician complains that their music is being stolen then its not art. a true atrist does not create for profit unlike those greedy bastards in the muic industry who are unhappy with fair wages but all want to be millionare arseholes!

  • Piracy is like if a friend gives you a game, you install it on your computer, and then you start playing it. How is that bad? Ok, I guess sharing is bad.

  • If you give some one a copy of a movie, or you copy a movie and give it to someone

-- someone who otherwise wouldn't have bought the movie, then really... what is the industry missing... I make an effort not to buy movies, but im up for going to a friends house and watching one.

i guess that'll be a crime if these dickheads get what they want

  • The reason they don't want priacy about is because they want more money, which they have WAY too much of anyway. They most likely don't veven deserve it.

  • the reason they don't want piracy is because they want more money, and they have so much money they don't even know what to spend it on. They probably don't even deserve it

  • They want to stop laying off people and losing hundreds of millions of dollars.

  • [citation required]

I have no doubt piracy impacts companies, but seriously, the RIAA and MPAA are not ones whose statistics should be taken at face values. The loss values are in fact padded to look worse than they are.

And layoff can never be completely attributed to piracy - I'd like to see some REAL Examples of this happening.

  • Sharing is caring.

  • You are the opposite of sharing. When you share, you give something up that is yours. If you share a CD with a friend, you don't have it while he has it. But you guys think sharing is to give away or take something that belongs to someone else. The reason we can watch a $400 million dollar movie is we all share the cost. You refuse to pay your share. You aren't sharing - you're freeloading.

  • How is buying between 200 and 250 cds a year freeloading? I download music and if I like it I buy it. I wouldn't have bought half of the cds I own if I hadn't downloaded them first. Also, the recent decline in sales has absolutly nothing to do with piracy.

    1) The cd replacement cycle. At one point many people bought music on vinyle records and then cassete tapes. *continued in next comment*

  • With the advent of the compact disk many people wanted to back up their music with something supposedly more reliable. For awhile after the compact disc was introduced, some people were buying albums in their favorite format, being vinyl or cassette, and also on the new, unproven compact disc. This caused an increase in sales in the 90s, and is commonly referred to as the 2 sales phenomenon. *continued in next comment*

  • 1. Most of the people here state, over and over, they will not pay for ANY CDs, DVDs or software. That's freeloading.

    2. There are plenty of legitimate ways of spreading your music where the author has control. Pirate sites give no control to the artist.

    3. Pirate Bay distributes cracks for my software and a version with a virus. They harm my reputation as well as steal from me. They do NOTHING for me. They simply make money off of my work.

    Simply more rationalizations for crime.

  • 1. The majoraty of the pirates I know buy it if they like it. I don't know where you got that from.

    2. Explain?

    3. 1) How does that harm your reputation? If they are spreading around a version with a virus wouldn't that only harm their reputation?

    2) Because of it being on filesharing sites you may have actually sold more than you would have, unless it's a piece of shit like I suspect it is, in which case you're the one riping people off. ;)

  • 1. The vast majority of people here have plainly said they steal all and would never buy something they can get from free. To claim thath no one is harmed by making their work available for free is denying human reality.

    2. Of course it hram my rep. People here are stupid. Look at their logic. Thhey blame everyoen but themselves.

The claim thaht Pirate sites increase my sales is INSANE. It's like saying rape will preserve your virginity.

  • Lol @ you comparing piracy to rape. Now you're just being retarded.

  • 1. Name-calling is not an argument.

    2. Calling people "retarded" as a joke is an extreme insult to people that have mental disabilities and you should be ashamed for such gross bigotry.

    3. I did not compare the two. Look up metaphor.

    4. Harming millions of workers and harming the economy as a whole is hardly trivial. Why not steal everything, completely destroy the world economy, throw everyone out of work? Would you also cavalierly say LOL? A typical pre-teen response.

  • 2. People with mental disabilaties are a drain on society and IMHO should be put out of their misery.

    4. I'm improving the economy. The sheer majority of us pirates buy more than we would without trying it before we buy.

  • 2. Hitler had the exact same idea. We can all see where your beliefs come from. Perhaps you should change your handle to Josef Mengele.

    4. Liar. 95% of the posts here claim they never buy anything. Besides, I give free, fully functional demos. It is absurd to state that piracy improves my sales.

  • I just went through all the comments to this video and not a single one claimed they never bought anything. Don't pull bullshit out of your ass.

  • Not surprising that you can't see such obvious statements when you have specifically stated that you are in favor of the main thrust of the Third Reich. You are such an extreme bigot you have actually suggested the liquidation of people you feel inferior.

  • You clearly haven't even read any of the comments. Go through and actually read the comments this time. You will see that not a single on of them states that they never buy anything.

  • You reread them. I've read over 2,000 on this and other threads. These people claim IP rights don't exist and everything should be free.

Look, you have admitted to the core beliefs of Adolf Hitler. Why would anyone trust you? You are such an extreme bigot you have actually suggested the liquidation of people you feel inferior.

  • 1. Not in this video. I haven't bothered to read comments in other videos, but a few comments on youtube hardly shows the general consensus among pirates. I buy over 200 albums a year, and the majority of the pirates I know also buy albums.

    2. I was trolling. You think I was serious about that? LOL. TROLLED.

  • LOL is your response? You think the Holocaust was funny? You think it is funny to "joke" about "liquidating" groups of people in a public forum? Another pirate said the Holocaust was "no big deal." And yet another said he saw nothing wrong with massive rapes in African countries. And he repeated this three time.

Pirates are sociopaths with simply no concept of right and wrong. It's no wonder you see nothing wrong with massive theft against groups of workers.

  • That pirate was probably trolling you too. Also, if their was a massive theft against massive groups of workers, I would think there was something wrong with it, however piracy isn't stealing.

  • Of course piracy is stealing. By definition.

From the Oxford English Dictionary: Steal - "To take or appropriate dishonestly anything belonging to another, whether material or immaterial."

    From Websters:

"STEAL may apply to any surreptitious taking of something and differs from the other terms by commonly applying to intangibles as well as material things"

But how would anyone expect an admitted Nazi to understand.

  • BAHAHAHA. I said I was trolling, and noplace did I even say I was a nazi. You decided that for yourself. And piracy isn't stealing, it's just making a copy.

  • 1. Making a copy in violation of copyright is stealing. I just gave you the definition of steal from two of the most famous dictionaries. It has been illegal for 300 years.

    2. Now you have admitted for the second time that you are a troll. And you have admitted that you find extermination of groups of people funny. Your character is here for everyone to see.

  • 1. Pirating under the definition you gave isn't stealing.

    2. I never said I find extermination of groups of people funny. I said that I find the fact that you keep responding my posts funny though.

Now do you really want to continue this? It's turning into a circular argument. There really isn't any point in arguing with eachother anymore.

  • 1. Of course it is. Piracy if appropriating dishonestly anything belonging to another, whether material or immaterial. It fits the definition exactly.

    2. No, you joked about exterminating disabled people. What a surprise you see nothing wrong with stealing.

  • "f appropriating dishonestly anything belonging to another, whether material or immaterial. It fits the definition exactly. "

Except when you make a copy of that song or movie, you leave behind the original. .. which most logical definitions require as a prerequisit.

  • Wrong on two counts. First, the most famous English and American dictionaries disagree with your definition. Second, the original is not unharmed. If I spend $1,000,000 developing a piece of software, I have an asset. I can sell that asset to a distributor and recoup my investment. But, if Pirate Bay steals it and distributes for free (making a ton with ads,) no distributor will touch it. My asset is diminished. The owner gets seriously hurt.

  • If you haven't distributed it, how the hell does the Pirate Bay get its hands on it, unless someone in your own company leaked it? Sounds like your problem.

  • Huh! I sell it. Someone uploaded it illegally.

  • You said no distributor would distribute it if it's already been leaked (which by itsself, is of course, false). If you haven't distributed it yet, then you're not selling it yet. How could a pirate upload a copy to The Pirate Bay unless they have a pre-release copy, leaked from your own company?

  • Samples are ALWAYS given out. There is always a test period sometimes involving huge numbers of people not in the company. Software development of new games is extremely expensive and time-consuming. Of course it can be stolen before official release. In fact, Pirate Bay usually gets pre-release versions. Shame on them and the crooks that upload them.

  • Giving out samples? What, you mean making yourself an accessory to STEALING??? They're not paying for it, so that's STEALING. A law from 300 years ago says so.

  • What are you talking about. Have you never heard of beta testing? It is extremely common and obviously legal. Software companies let people use software, usually but not always for a limited period. In exchange, the testers provide advice, ideas and bug reports. This is notstealing because it is authorized. But, if they upload it, then it is stealing.
