Thanks man.. finally someone who knows, people keep saying that but i didnt get it becuase it wasnt that logical. And no unfortunaly it doesnt have manual aparture.
That's weird, because on my babydeath I don't have any blur.
Are you using step up rings?
What are the thread sizes on the camera?
Try using no spacers.
Try using more spacers.
It might be a defect in the lense itself, talk to a friend who has a camera with 37mm threads and put the lens on. If the blur is still there (assuming you used no spacers or anything) I would recommend sending the lens back back to Opteka and telling them of the defect and that is how you received it. Because they don't
Exposure has to do with how much light the picture is "taking" in. as far as im concernd it does not make the picure a wider range. Thanks for the comment though.
It does as a matter of fact, if you lurk SP you'd find out the same thing and most experienced filmers will tell you to definitely keep your fstops as closest to f5.6 as possible.
Im lurking sp right at the moment haha, maybe youre right but i dont see how the a setting like that could change the perception of a fisheye or the widht of the picture. I mean you set the exposure differently depending on the weather, location.. etc.
totally understand what you mean, but it definitely is true because i've seen the difference on several sites where people had it one time on a very different f stop and the vig was hideous and it was blurry on the sides too, then they put it f5.6 and it was crystal clear
Steady shot is the most basic rule when using fisheye! Its off:) And im using manual focus so that my camera doesnt focus on the actual lens. Thanks, ill look their site up!

and try to manuel focus better

2 more spacers will make the lens wider and add vig, and just buy uv filters from ebay
DavyCronin 2 years ago
But will it erase the blur?
DanieLindqvist 2 years ago
it should my lens never had that problem, what kind of cam are you using?

skyline4645 2 years ago
Im not?
DanieLindqvist 2 years ago
@DanieLindqvist than i dont know then, because normally when you zoom in,that is what happens.
skyline4645 2 years ago
Thats the problem.. i dont know why its like this.
DanieLindqvist 2 years ago
@DanieLindqvist either dont use the spacer or make sure it is screwed in tight
skyline4645 2 years ago
That has nothing to do with it being blurry, if you remove the spacer the blur gets worse:(
DanieLindqvist 2 years ago
@DanieLindqvist it might be a deffect in the lense
skyline4645 2 years ago
just get a bunch of opteka filters(spacers)

keep your exposure on f5.6, or as close to that as possible. it gives the widest range of view and the sharpest vig.

try auto focusing and make sure you have steady shot off. Also you can get spacers directly off the opteka website or on ebay
