So far, the JLP government only pride is to fulfill the criteria of the IMF. Golding and his government cannot guarantee that the average Jamaican will keep his/her job. IMF dictates what happen. I urge you all to watch life and debt and you will see how IMF in the 1980s destroyed the agricultural industry and put small farmers out of business. For example, look how IMF has put Guyana and Haiti in more debt and how it had destroyed the Haitian economy in particular.

I wish you people who like to beat up on the jlp would look at the pnps record for the last 18 years. In 19 years the pnp ruined jamaica with bad government and corruption. All the other Carribean Islands except Haiti and Cuba grew. Barbadoes,Trinidad and others grew. Jamaica remained the same or went backward. All under the PNP. Where were all of you then.

I dont know what else they could have done,no one likes to go to the IMF ,even Seaga did'nt like the Imf . But the government took over in 2007,less than two years ago and the country was broke. No reserves was in the bank. Omar Davis left them with enough money to last two weeks. Then in 2008 the world economy started to go south. Less tourist,less bauxite,less remmitances. Its not the JLPs fault. If the pnp was in it probably would be worst because the corruption would continue.

It is obvious that JA would do this. The economy was always a mess so it was just a matter of time. Imagine the population elected this imcompetent nincompoops to beg on behalf of the people, making the country a begging nation.
