  • I love it how they use Master of Puppets as the last song here, it's a nice touch seeing they barely mentioned Metallica \m/

  • What does long hair have to do with it? Ask Kerry King son

  • I'm surprised he didn't talk to anyone from Anthrax either.

  • i am surprised that he didnt interview anybody from TOOL .

  • We are all a brother and sisterhood that will NEVER die. 14 years old, I got long hair, and metal has never made me lose hope. NEVER STOP WINNING THE FIGHT!!!!!!!

  • I fucking love this, I fucking love metal, I fucking love all of you. \m/

  • Master of Puppets guitar solo!

  • If it wasn't for metal, i'd be dead. And i'd rather stay a metal head then every turn my back on the rest of us. Metal heads forever. We don't die, we don't leave , we just fight, and win...

  • aLOT of true love from India where metal is a taboo but not banned as in some Middle Age countries...!! I suffered alot to be a Metal MAd Head cause its not supported here by the media. But The Internet did alot to make me a Metal Head....Love you all my bros & Sisters...!!

  • Metal is one of the few genres left where there is REAL talent :)

  • epic last comment from sam !

  • Damn perfect started with number of the beast and ended with master of puppets. Fucking Perfect

  • I live in the middle of VA. You like one of 3 things, country, rap, or classic rock. Sometimes I wish that I lived somewhere that I could talk to people about my favorite bands. But then again, I wouldn't want to go to school everyday knowing that 20 other kids would be wearing a slayer shirt that day. I like being an outcast, I mean, I have friends, but not cultural ones. Metal is my best friend.

  • finally finished.....

  • Fuck man wheres megadeth?

  • HAILS TO YOU MY METALHEAD COMRADES!

  • FUCKING METAL!!!!!!!!!

  • \m/>('_')<\m/

  • this documentary is fucking awesome!!!

  • Now i feel like listening to Master of puppets

  • yes... we ARE doing just fine... we got eachother and the music... we certaintly dont need an outsider.

  • I went to a Satyricon concert and Satyr told the audience he "loves the metalheads like family" true that

  • This was my all-time favorite movie for a while

  • If anyones wondering about the background music sounding different... I think the pitch of these uploads are slightly altered so they dont get taken down, or in the documentary itself they didnt get the rights.

  • LONG LIVE METAL!! \m/

  • kind of disapointing that Dimmu Borgir wasnt in the documantary at all, not even a soundtrack. Cuz they're the biggest black metal band in the world..

  • Who doesn't love metal?

  • Metal Forever \m/

  • Metal day is a joke. Metal is EVERYDAY!

  • happy national metal day fuckers

  • Watched the whole documentary in honor of Metal Day. Couldn't think of anything better to watch today.

  • Awesome!

  • i think he should do something about only black metal n its history or death metal n its many subgenres

  • cant wait for his new doc comeing out 11/11/11

  • A round of applause to you sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar.

  • im a smart guy, i listen to metal. that can work.

  • I love how Metallica is the artist you hear at the end. Awesome fuckin' documentary! I think it would be interesting if Tenacious D was in this. Could you imagine? I would be laughing like "what the...?". I think this one is the perfect thing to watch to learn about heavy metal, the history, and the different categories that all tie together. That guy did an awesome freakin job and I couldn't have said it better. Thanks for uploading. You ROCK!!!

  • satan

  • fuck that was one awesome documentary 10/10

  • So fucking true words! Metal is more awesome than any type of shitty pop or mainstream music, gives you power, it has also given me better self-confidence, fuck yeah!

  • Best song to end with!

  • master of puppets is played faster than normal

  • @Op7Pr0 Also my parents always saw me as a calm person, and some years ago, when I started to listen to metal, they were also worried about if I was going to become a revolutionary teenager and ruin my life and all those kind of ideas... But now that some years passed, I still like metal and I was successfull on studies and I'm working, etc.

I see that they only thought different than me, maybe expressing that in a wrong way! There was no hate at all, just different tastes and bad comunication!

  • Pretty lame documentary, it basically says that metal is for misfits who label themselves as so.... what an insight (sarcasm). What's amazing is that such good music can spawn from such an environment.

Music is so universal and dynamic ... it is a pity people wants to corner themselves in a subset of it.

  • @tyomero NO SHIT really!? thats because its not a fad type of music like lady gaga or justin derper. Metal is for those who dont follow the status quo.

  • @tyomero ok cool opinion still gonna listen to it i like it and i could care less how closeminded you think i am

  • Finally I've got to see this documentary and it was great! Really knocks out all the taboos, mysteries and unfairness that binded metal for a long time. Looking forward for more Sam Dunn, he's a genius : )

  • inspired me to buy the dvd. got the 2 disc special edition and dont regret it

  • This documentary was fucking intense, it helped me understand the harmlessness of metal, and it also just scared the fuck out of me with the darker sides of metal.

  • @Friendpersonkid Well, innit like life itself.. you enjoy a nice sunny day while on the other side of the Earth a woman is violented or somethin.. That's what you get in life.. all sorts of sides and tastes

  • @febbra2 Thank you captain obvious, it's always nice to see your ship stop everyone once in a while to give me a visit and educate me on what i already know.

  • @Friendpersonkid Sure thing, always glad I helped with something

  • I love all my metal brothers and sisters,,stay true!

  • A big high five and respect to all those who watched it to the end to listen to master of puppets x

  • @USMGingerNinja A movie with Master Of Puppets in the generic deserves to be watched till the end!

  • All the quotes at the end are the best i've ever heard

  • AWESOME.

  • AWSOME.

  • And a7x is just another guns n roses

  • BassAssAnnons a7x is good but they are mainstream thts y they have many fans and.they are really good.but hey they never did anything for metal at all

  • @gamefreak812 Fuk you you'll never understand because you're just not a metalhead man. Look at where metal is today! Everybody luvs it! Thanks to a7x it's making a comeback and stronger than eva!!!!

  • @BadassAnons Like your comment but A7X sucks ass nowadays. Waking the Fallen was really the only good album they had. Bands holding the flag high nowadays are Death Angel, Exodus, Sodom, The Absence, Decrepit Birth, Arsis, Obscura, Abysmal Dawn, Hexen, Havok, Warbringer, Lazarus A.D. Toxic Holocaust, and Megadeth. That is metal in my opinion. A7X isn't anywhere near the level of these bands

  • @cbazan66 Lol nah.... Thrash and death ain't holding the flag high. I hate to say it, but the bands who are holding the flag are some of the worst shitty ass emo music i have heard. I have No idea how it even took over the mainstream metal scene, i mean god forbid it is horrible. P.s, i don't actually like a7x nor listen to any of these kinda bands. ;) Trolling is just too fun.

  • @BadassAnons I actually meant for metal not for what the rest of the idiots and tweens listen to. I could care less about mainstream garbage like Emo music. There really is no mainstream metal scene nowadays. Most of the good bands are playing shitty clubs and touring for jack shit only making money off of merch. Emo music is pretty much on it's way out. Nowadays it's that indie rock hipster garbage that people are into. Really only mainstream metal bands that are left are the old ones .

  • I wanted to see some words about Folk Metal, Symphony Metal and viking metal. Also more skandinavian metal rather than american headbang-metal. But it was very nice documentary and I liked it a lot! /,,/

  • awesome documentairy, wish they intervieuwd devildriver , behemoth and dimmu borgir do..

  • 0:44 xD dude catching water with a drinking horn. Metalheads truly are the most awesome ppl xD

  • Really great documentary!

    Thanks for uploading! ^^

  • @BadassAnons well when your busy talking about something as humongous as black sabbath, avenged sevenfold is just a blip in the screen. i enjoy a7x, but they are not that important.

  • @BadassAnons You be trollin'

  • @BadassAnons hey man i wished they would mention pantera or at least dimebag but im not bitchin about it

  • @MrCorpseslaughter idd man, they wer awesome :) \m/

  • @MrCorpseslaughter they did have Vinnie and Darrell on their interview as an extra talking about their crazy experience in the DVD. it's before he was gunned down. RIP to Dimebag.

  • @BadassAnons

Where would metal be without Avenged Sevenfold? Probably a better place. But an interview with Mastodon would have been the tits.

  • @BadassAnons dude a7x is good but they are not important in all of metal history

  • @BadassAnons and what would be now a7x without metal to begin with.. ?? I think they just not belong in the scene of "monumental" metal bands.surely, those shoes are really big to fit for newer bands nowadays.
