Protaganist gang is a multicultural group of misfits(idea way ahead of it's time for a major motion picture). Ultra-feminist sidekick. The list goes on and on.
Even the kicker, the slapstick quote of the movie is "I'll buy that for a dollar!" ...which has an eerily concidental source to say the least(check it out).
