Most people that aren't for gay rights start quoting the bible. The bible teaches the golden rule and also says love is important, right? The thing that I can figure out is why are these people spending so much money just to stop love? We all live in this world and need to learn to respect each other. I'm for gay marriage and for equality and I will stand beside the gays.

I have my own reasons for not completely agreeing with same-sex marriage and it's got nothing to do with religion. I think that if you base any argument on religion, you are basing it on air.
What I base my idea on is more "grand echelle". When we think about what the family is in turn of society and human race, I wonder if allowing same-sex marriage has the potential to cause a major malfunction in society. Can we prove this? No. So there's no real argument against same-sex marriage.
Look up the definition in the dictionary. I could careless what gays do but they can NOT be married as marriage is between a man and a woman. Gay activist groups encourage hate in our society. It is a shame gays have to push their perverted behavior in everyones face. SICK

Families WILL be affected if Prop 8 fails. The same organization that says they have no intent to force homosexual education in California schools is the organization that fought to not even allow parents an "opt-out" for that same education in Massachussets.
Homosexual couples have all the legal status of any other union. Why are everyone else's rights and religious freedoms now "bigoted?"

At a recent conference about Prop 8,(the proposition to ban gay "marriage" in California), someone told the story about a family whose 8-year-old daughter came home all excited and told her mother that girls would be able to marry each other. The mother told the girl why that was wrong. After she finished, the little girl looked at her mother and said, "They told us there would be people like you."
Please look into the issue rather than just take people's word for what something is or isn't. I give my view over the course of several video segments in a video I just posted yesterday to my channel. It's far from fancy. But I believe that through respectful debate and interchange the best for society will emerge. I ask you to please look at all the best points from each side, not simply the big zingers or endorsements, but think about it, ask questions, dialog!

We don't just follow blind the endorsement, we spread the word about it, because we truly believe in the idea of equality and promoting love instead of dogmatic hate. You shouldn't take everything for right what your church tells you, start to question and thinking about it! NO on Prop 8!
If you you watch my video you'll see that none of my arguments for a yes vote have any basis in having to accept any theological doctrines or points. I can and do defend my view in the context of pure secularism and reason.
