  • Leo Sayer.

    The poor man's Elton John.

Loved his music; just couldn't stand to see him perform.

Very hammy, and that's putting it nicely.

Thanks for posting this. . .

  • Love this song; sounds kinda 'Stones-ish to me.

  • Love the original , but this performance has more attitude and edge.

    "I did a two - step , quick step and a Bossa Nova !".

  • im a man of the road im a hobo by name i dont seek entertainment just poetry and games but i think i can dance when it is required if lao says its cool

  • @maisecret1 Poultry and game....lol

  • bahhaahaaaa what a performer and stage presents!

  • I saw Leo last night, to all the Leo fans out there, you will be happy to know he was great.

  • @kksvesta YEP! I was 5 also when this came out, and thanks to a much older brother, he had me hearing stuff I can look back to without any regret of all this great music!

  • just a boy was Leo`s 2nd Album

  • This is a rare footage. A real classic..Thanks for posting.

  • Not sure he can dance but... he can SING! Go Leo!

  • i love it

  • Good grief, I haven't heard this song in 30 years. I'd forgotten how fun this song is.

  • he can't dance, but he can sing. Great song!

  • ...Ha... They should make this song into the Just Dance for the Wii... =]

  • I have some 'new' leo sayer records (45's) that have never been sold and have been in storage, if anyone wants them let me know!

  • There's a rumor that his cousin is Richard Simmons! ;)

  • Thanks Leo, Brilliant!

  • What a great clip!

  • By the way 'Giving it All Away' is not Roger Daltrey's song. It was written by Leo Sayer and Dave Courtney who had a big hand in Leo's brilliant debut album.

  • The chorus was correct: he can't dance.

  • hit #9 in the US (Billboard). How'd it do in the UK? God bless!

  • google mp3iiify to download this song from youtube.

  • We made up a dance to this in Year 7 in 1974 and I still remember it. Great song Leo!!

  • wow, takes me back.... I was with a certain lady back then and this song reminds me of her.

  • He looks like the guy who falls off the bridge in Saturday Night Fever.

  • @DCNY31279 LOL! So tue!!

  • HA HA HA!! He looks about 14 here!!

  • I had a little crush on a boy when this song came out. Everytime I hear this song, it takes me back.

  • luv it!!!! lol jkkkkk

  • Well later in 1974. Leo got rid of his clown posteria outfit, but i think he had the afro in this promo video as a first appearence in the autumn of 1974.

I think it proved a great change and made him a heart-throb.

  • There will only ever be one Leo S...us Aussies love him heaps too!!!

  • I guess he moved because he was much fond of the Foster than the Brit ale's...just kidding :)

    All the best from Budapest

  • 2:29 lol. he gets me al the time.He was known for his face expressions, not to mention his great talent.

  • Good one! The irony of it eh! Leo couldn't dance haha!

    True! :))

  • GREAT STUFF!!! Thanks for posting.

  • Loved Leo's stuff, have quite a number of his albums ... for such a little bloke he could really put some powerful vocals into his material, " Thunder In My Heart " was an example.

  • What a shame this video has been taken off. It showed him as I remember him....irrespressible performances.

  • Are you referring to this Leo vid MissDee ... as it is still working.

  • Yes, I was referring to this. My mistake though, my browser took a while to show it. Where did you find it anyway? Do you have more of him?

  • I got this vid from a show from 1986 called Rock Relics (in Oz) which played vids from the 70s & some 60s.

I actually have quite a lot of Leo's vids ... I'm in the process of transferring my clips from video to DVD.

I might group his clips together & put them up if there is enough interest.

  • PLEASE, PLEASE post some Leo stuff. I'm in the UK and although I was only 7 in 1976, I remember him as totally effervescent. I still love his music and would love to see some fresh Leo magic. By the way, I'm totally obsessed with You Make me Feel Like Dancing.

  • i saw Leo at the State Theatre in Sydney a few years ago, what a little ball of energy!
