@timorbit nah we were about to but then our money and business went south and just wouldn't afford it.sometime in the future though.at least now my parents want our next car to be one haha
Cool. The V6 model from what Ive heard, performs like a mustang V8 and is fuel effecient. This cost as much as my dads van so I think this is the car Im getting. Either this or restore a 73 Nova. Gotta work my ass of for either one though.
The V6 camaro does not compare to the mustang GT in performance. It compares in horsepower, only. The 2010 mustang GT has a V8 that puts out 315 HP, while the V6 camaro makes 300 HP. The 0-60 times are vastly different. The mustang GT makes 60 in 5.2 seconds and the camaro V6 makes 60 in 6.1 seconds. Part of the difference is weight (the camaro weighs 300-400 lbs more than the stang), and part of it is torque and power. To compete, you would need a V8 camaro. The stang also tops out better.
They've already come out with the prices. An SS goes for $31-33k depending on the package you get. And the Z28 which may or may not come out will probably cost upwards of $40k+.
damn restrictive factory exhaust.... every new muscle car should come stock with a performance catback exhaust of consumers choice when they have one ordered...
I just put a 1000 dollar deposit for the 2SS model. I am getting it pretty much fully loaded, all leather, RS package, hurst shifter, and other things. I want to know how much it should cost so that I will know if I am getting screwed or not. I'm been told around 38k. Is that right?
my neighbor brought home the pre-production CAMARO on OMFG is it amazing. the interior is amazing the sound is amazing and it drives so smooth even when going fast. there is alot of leg room and arm room. the side interior lights on the door and dashboard look amazing at night time. you get so much attention when driving in this car u feel like a celebrity. also the first time in the Camaro you get an adrenalin rush of excitement trust me.
if you have an opinion of the chalenger being the shit and have problems with the size, you have terrible taste in cars and dont know the purpose of a muscle car.
@I6Mpower if my recollection is correct the new challenger size wise (lxwxh) it is alot bigger and heavier than the older models. but given emission controls i can sort of see it but i feel there is a lot of unneeded open space. still a nice car though.
yea the genesis coup is bad ass but this is a camaro and the v8 has a fuel management system 2 make it run like a 4cl when your not pushin the pedal to the grown
The exterior is very masculine, very aggressive looking. The interior is another story. Plain, banal and just ugly come to mind. Gauges look interesting and sharp, but the leather, dash and upholstery look cheap and crappy. Mustang wins the interior race. I'm waiting to see the 2010 Mustang's exterior before I would decide which one to buy.
this is the wrong car to judge interior from, but it is anything but cheap. I'm a camaro owner but i daily drive a bmw m3. The new camaro has a very nice leather interior with soft many soft touch surfaces. I consider it comparable to the m3. Furthermore, i find for interiors, especially the mustang, very reminiscent of melted down army men. Ford interiors certainly do not compare to the refined interior in this car. period.
Hey, just to my taste. Great car over all, but not what I was hoping to come from GM to save them. The target market for this car is young, new money. The outside would sell it in a heart beat. The inside is just iffy to me. GM could have really blown everyone out of the race in the muscle car market but I really feel they fell short on the interior. Not what muscle car interior should be in my taste.

Captncronica 2 years ago
well, you can get a pretty loaded SS camaro for 37K but a 2LT RS is like the best you can do for a v6 so you paid about what's expected.

For the 2010 V6 Camaro shown here with the RS trim, 2LT I believe its going to run about 30k excluding taxes and everything else.
tommygun6644 3 years ago
starting at $22,995 thats for the RS (v6) z28 should be about $30,000 and the SS should be close to $40,000
