My concern is for citizens involved in a love triangle where one of the others is a cop. Let's say Lazarus waited for Rasmussen and attacked her out of jealous rage. Police policy is that any resistance Rasmussen offers against such an attack by Lazarus is a felony, justifying whatever force Lazarus might use to subdue Rasmussen, including shooting Rasmussen dead if she pushed Lazarus away. He finally broke up the fight and sent Lazarus on her way. After Lazarus was gone Ruetten shot and killed his wife. If you examine the facts in this case you can see how it really happened. Don't get hung up on DNA when all the other evidence points to Ruetten as the one who murdered Rasmussen.

Starting off by calling people idiots is a good way to remove all credibility from what you say, which is a shame because you made some great points. The real problem is that police conduct is mainly supervised by senior police officers, who ego's have swollen and feel they are above the law. Many crimes are committed, and their power over the law system (as they're a part of it) grants them immunity much of the time. Often, if it's not televised, it's not an issue.
