My father -- American, passed away two weeks ago at the age of 84 -- LOVED these guys.

We were fortunate enough to live in the UNK for three years when I was young, and he introduced me (as a young boy) to them. How fortunate am I? :-)

The spontaneity of Donald's laughter and wholehearted involvement of the audience, itself a minor miracle if one considers the general reserve of the middle and upper classes of the day, both testify to Michael's belief that their material could not be fully captured on vinyl or even camera. Nevertheless, without these records, those of us not privileged to have been around for the original would have to make do with only second-hand accounts. An unexpected joy in an otherwise average day.

@ImmoSci Sadly, those days of ever seeing the likes of Flanders and Swan are a part of history . So long as there are people like you and me and all the other folks that enjoys true British Comedy there might be a glimmer of hope somewhere. Todays generation of kids ,have probably never heard of these two great comedians, and sadly probably never will. We live in troubled times and I cant see it getting better anytime soon

My dad is absolutely nuts about this song, he drives my mom, brother, twin sisters {twins to one another not me} crazy playing it and my sisters' kids just tell their granpa to turn it off. I think it's a rather cute song and though I'm not big on folk music, why should we question what people love so long as they don't blast our ears and minds with it if we don't like it?
