@WrathFromWithin In a simple answer No. In a complicated answer, It depends. For example, the 2nd generation ipod touch only goes up to the 4.2.1 firmware. (There is a link for an untethered jailbreak for MC and NON-MC models in the description), whereas the 3rd and 4th generation can be jailbroken on the 4.3.1. (Make sure to check out my uploads list to check out my recent 4.3.1 jailbreak video.) hope this helps answer your question.

Now there has been a lot of problems with jailbreaking it mostly with the DFU mode, now if you do want to jailbreak your Idevice and you have this problem then go to this youtube video at the end of the comment. his works for any generation of iphone, ipod touch, ipad and even an apple TV. If you have an ipod touch 2 gen, go into settings, then general, then about. scroll down until you see the word "model" and look at the serial number next to it. If it starts with MC then it is an MC model.

Add the following line: 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com . Save it, download the IOS 4.0 firmware,then SHIFT-CLICK restore  in Itunes,and restore it.

Its ok i forgive you thank god i could care less about my ipod right now i just got an Sony Experia X10 (phone from AT&T) it runs on the Droid OS im really surprised at their OS i like it more than apples stuff plus they could care less what you do with your devices and have apps in their market that people who root (sorta like a jailbreak) can buy or download that give you awesome features most companies would block.And the phone has an amazing camera.8 MP the quality is amazing for a phone.
