It's clearly a draw - you can tell by the way he gets the line of his left arm parallel with the line (plane) of his shoulders. This move brings the club down from the inside, and as long as the clubhead is released properly through the ball, will create the required draw.
@russm21 okay then list the 9 ball flights for me. inside out path with a slightly closed clubface causes a ball to start right of the target line i.e ( a push) and curve left back to the target line i.e ( a draw) path determines initial ball flight direction, face determines the spin imparted in the ball draw, straight, fade...
@jag16 The nine ball flights are Straight fairly self explanatory Fade starts left of target and finishes on the target Draw starts right of target and finishes on the target Push starts right travels straight and finishes right Pull starts left travels straight and finished left Slice starts left and finishes right of target Hook starts right and finishes left of target Push Slice starts right and goes further right Pull Hook starts left and goes further left
@russm21 Sorry but your wrong. Straight -Inside Square to Inside path-square club face Draw -Inside Square to inside path-closed club face Fade -Inside Square to inside path-open club face Push -Inside to Outside path-square club face Push Slice - Inside to Outside path-open club face Push Draw - Inside to Outside path-closed club face Pull - Outside to Inside path-square club face Pull Slice - Outside to Inside path-open club face Pull Draw - Outside to Inside path-closed club face
@jag16@jag16 I would beg to differ and so would the PGA. I am a PGA pro and I was taught that what I was saying is right. The definition of a draw is a shot that starts right of target and finishes on the target. The way you claim it to work, the ball would start straight and finish left of target thus not being a draw and the opposite for a fade. Maybe they do it differently at the Golf Academy of America.
@russm21 i beg to differ because, if i know my path is correct to start the ball straight and my face is closed and hit a 5 yard draw, I'm going to aim 5 yards right of my target. If i execute the shot with my aim 5 yards right and draw it to the flag, I just hit a draw that starts on my target line and lands at the flag because i knew it would draw 5 yards left of where i was aiming...
That's a perfectly executed high draw and not a slice. A slice starts straight and makes a huge turn to the right due to the clubface being open at impact. A draw starts out to the right and curves back to the left as seen above. The opposite of a slice is a hook and the opposite of a draw is a fade. Moreover there are pushs and pulls. Push means the ball starts out to the right and flies on straight due to an inside out swing motion. A Pull is the opposite caused by an outside in motion.
Draws don't start right, they start straight and fall to the left for right handers. Hooks start right and end up left. Fades start straight and end up falling right as the ball loses speed, just like putts break the most as they're moving the slowest around the hole. Slices, like you said are the opposite of hooks, starting left and ending up right.
if anyone thinks its a huge push draw, look where he is aiming, its quite a bit right

Optical lenses also make the ball appear to go farther right than it actually does.

It looks like a push because the camera isn't exactly down the line as well. He may have pushed it, but only slightly, and it definitely drew back

Listen you fuckwits, a true draw must start right of target - caused by a slight in to out swing path. It finishes on target.
A shot which starts at the target and turns over (draws) to finish left of the target is a pull-hook.

Do not know what shot he hit but a very strange set - up . Shoulders hips way open to feet. Or Feet way shut to shoulders hips.

@russm21 They teach out of the PGA Teaching Manual, and that's how that book explains the Ball Flights, so maybe the PGA should fix that then?
