why the china on the left? its noticable that ur not as comfortable playing left hand lead with your feet. it just doesnt line up as well. otherwise good playing, bad drum setup imo

I threw the china cymbal on the left because, at the time, it was the only place where it would fit on my kit with the current boom arm that I had. Plus, it has made me more ambidextrous with my playing. I'm now comfortable playing with both right or left hand leads

Because people think that it is "cheating" by making every hit sound the same. It's an invaluable tool, ESPECIALLY when playing live. When was the last time you saw a big metal act with a kick drum that sounded like a wet fart?

Some say it's cheating because you can hit the drum really soft and still get that nice hard hitting sound. I don't like them because it has a very electronic sound to it. If you use a trigger keep it for insanely fast double pedal users.

Um, no? I've been recording my band, and if you have the volume on the cymbols, kick, etc.. too high, it will over power everything. You have to put into consideration about how things will sound when you put them together..

The mix you did is ALMOST perfect. If the bass drum mic(s) were turned up a little your kit would sound damn near perfect. Good cover man; not a lot of people can cover ABR....especially the drums.

It's a small 14" Wuhan Lion china cymbal. Costs about 20 bucks from a local drum shop or (gasp!) guitar center

i don't know what a lion china is, but i just bought a 16" wuhan china, and love it! (it costs only $36.00 :D) I love wuhan, as they provide nice enough cymbals, for less than a quarter of the leeding brand's chinas (and personally, i think the Wuhan's sound better than some of them!)

although, what is the diffrence between the regular wuhans and a lion wuhan? 'Cuz i'll spring 20 bucks for a great sounding cymbal any day!

sick drumming man. great sounds. try adjusting ur throne down a bit, ur spine is gonna be messed up after awhile if you dont. if it affects your reach to your cymbals, you may want to consider getting boomstands so you can have them closer to you above the drumset without them getting in the way

Well that's the problem when you have to mix on computer speakers. I didn't have my studio monitors yet when I did my first three videos (and this is one of those), so I had to mix them on a 10 year pair of JBL computer speakers.
